I understand what you are getting at, but the real issue is the drug trafficking, kidnappings, and all out chaos of undocumented people crossing the border at the expense of others. Breaking it down to the very base, isn't that what Americans think of the illegal immigrants? Even though many of those immigrants do the jobs that no Americans would think below them? I don't think its as much the jobs Americans are worried about as it is the rape, murder, etc. of these illegals. There's enough of that going on from true citiizens.

It's the potential for unintended consequences in it's application now, an in the future, that I take issue with.

They're illegal immigrants, who are breaking the law. What laws were Jews breaking? If they were legal citizens, you may have a point, but they aren't, so you can't compare the two.

May 7, 201016 yr Except the Basque region, those folks have pretty much stayed put since the stone age. Their "autonomous" but they don't control their own destiny so to speak. They have to answer to the Spanish Government.

May 8, 201016 yr Read an article that inteviewed that Sheriff down there that has been rounding up ILLEGAL citizens left and right. He made the point that this is NO DIFFERENT than the power that the police already have and what his deputies have been doing. There has to be a reason to stop anyone and THEN you check to see if they are ILLEGAL. That he is not just pulling over Hispanics but rather they have to have done something to merit a traffic stop before they check their papers.
