April 21, 201016 yr Masset's numbers since he came to Cincinnati in the Griffey deal in 2008: 100.1 IP 83 hits 8-2 W-L 3.14 ERA 11 HR 34 BB 87 SO If he pitches at that level for the rest of the season, the Reds would be thrilled. I'd say it's a 50-50 proposition, given the way that he has been absolutely hammered so far this year. If Masset did pitch over his head last year, as some suspect, you could call this poor start a course correction.

April 21, 201016 yr Stubbs needs to go back to AAA he isn't ready. Average down to .146 .255 OBP 17 K's in 41 AB just not going to get it done in the leadoff spot. He is 2 for his last 29. Agreed. I guess you just plug in Dickerson and let him have at it.
April 21, 201016 yr Looks llike one thing the Reds are not able to address is leadoff. Neither Dickerson or Stubbs are the answer. I'm not ready to give up on the pitching yet. This is a marathon not a sprint for the season. Compared to the NFL season the Reds would be at about half time of there second game. The Jays and Royals game today has already featured HRs by Alex Gonzalez and Jose Guillen....Guillen is currently hitting .373 with 6 HRs and 13 RBIs. Gonzalez is hitting .292 with 5 HRs and 11 RBIs. Where were those kinda numbers when they were with the Reds? :lol:
