April 6, 201016 yr Justice states tonight that he's sticking with Louisville and will not consider a Kentucky offer... Here's my report
April 6, 201016 yr Kind of humerous to me that Elisha Justice shows the ultimate loyalty to the University of Louisville, when they are not even committing a scholarship to him. I am not sure if Kentucky is offering a scholarship or not. Maybe the Pitino camp has made a future scholarship promise to this young man. Good luck, regardless.

Rick Pitino's direct comment to Justice: "If one becomes available, it is yours."
April 6, 201016 yr I admittedly don't keep very good tabs on past Mr. Basketballs... How often does one end up walking on somewhere? These are the only ones I remember, and they all got scholarships... Brandon Stockton Josh Carrier Darius Miller Steffphon Pettigrew Jon Hood I know, I'm slacking.
April 6, 201016 yr Cal did the right thing by offering EJ. IMO, Cal will have the monkey off his back now if EJ becomes an effective player for the Cards. We as UK fans would have to listen to four years of the same old Chris Lofton crap if Cal had not offered. I am happy EJ is going to be playing for a Kentucky College and wish him well except against my Cats.

April 6, 201016 yr EJ is a good player but I don't think he is in the same league as C-Lo.It has nothing to do with if he is in the same league or not. Even you say you don't think he is, so even you are not positive. I cannot say one way or another if they are in the same league. All I know is if Cal had not called him and he becomes a good player at Lville, UK fans would be all over Cal for not going after him. I just know how muck crap Tubby took for taking 3 McD players over Lofton.

Add Walt Allen from South Laurel who did get a scholarship to a smaller school. I am sure Justice has offers from smaller schools, but I admire his wanting to take a chance and play at a higher level!! He was a fantastic HS player, that's for sure.

That may have been the single act that had Tubby lose the confidence and support of some of the fan base and ran him out of KY.
April 6, 201016 yr That may have been the single act that had Tubby lose the confidence and support of some of the fan base and ran him out of KY. It didn't help. Worst part is that UT was the only big offer that Lofton got. I was happy for Lofton that he had such an outstanding college career, but considering that UK had no schollys left, ...

ANd if I remember right Pearl was not knocking his door down until someone Pearl knew set him on the Lofton path.
April 6, 201016 yr I think UofL showing him attention last year is a big factor in decision. Yes, Cal called him. But he had showed no interest toward the kid for his entire career. It could be perceived (and maybe it is by Justice) that Cal finally called because of mass exodus in Lexington. As for him not fitting in at UofL. Pitino is known for playing his entire roster. There have been plenty walk-ons play big minutes for Pitino over his career. He likes to have one walk-on on every team that can play a little. There will be two in state kids walking on next year, Phares and Justice.
