April 5, 201016 yr I'd be surprised if he left. I wouldn't think that he would need the money at this point in his life. The mood on the Duke message board is that he won't leave. Kobe tried hard to get him to come to L.A. and it didn't work. Coach K seems like a lifer in college basketball......but you never know.
April 5, 201016 yr Author Yes, that is per year. He was offered 8 mil from the Lakers. This one comes with GM rights too. I agree with PP though, I don't see him going....but, wow...that could be tough to turn down.

I hope that he would choose to stay at Duke, and I am sure he will be remembered at one of the best college coaches ever. And like someone already posted...he doesn't really need that kind of money at this point in his career.

I don't think it would be a good move for him, it has not worked out too well for most of the others who have tried it.
