October 21, 200521 yr That's up to X fans. I for one will never, ever pay to go in the crypt on Burnett Street again. And if my making fun of your stadium hurts your feelings, TOUGH. My civility with regards to Manual is gone. You know what that is just silly. None of us did anything to you. You have a serious problem if you can't separate what the administration did from what the fans want. We could be your greatest asset, instead this whole time you have been badgering us. You catch more flies with honey than vinegar. The thing is we agree with you and you still want to make us your "enemies" well have fun with that. I still respect Trinity and their fans, we have been on your side the whole time but All Tell you are pretty much asking us to curse our own school and we aren't going to do that! If you think that some how makes us the only school that passed Prop 20 and are holding us to some "with us or against us" shtick, then go ahead but you are wrong. Fact is that almost 90% of public schools voted for this!!! We fans are against it. But the administration is for it. It is not our choice! So if you want to continue to goad us fans or try to hurt our feelings or insult us then please go ahead and I will turn my cheek and you can do it again till you feel better. But we aren't the enemy. By the way I support you in the boycotting, I think it is something you should do.
October 21, 200521 yr I can't wait to see the list tomorrow of who voted in favor of it /QUOTE] secret ballot is used
October 21, 200521 yr I respectfully disagree. Please explain to me your logic because to be quite honest I don't see it. Boycotting just prevents you from seeing your team. It prevents you from cheering for your kids. And it prevents the kids from having the support that they deserve. Don't go to the concession stand if you want to stage a protest. But I can promise there isn't a program that's going to mourn the opposing teams fans because they stayed home. It hurts no one but yourself.
October 21, 200521 yr Another interesting comment! Wasn't it Lexington's PUBLIC SCHOOLS who chose to BOYCOTT Lexington Catholic. Swings and Roundabouts, Bob, Swings and Roundabouts! DAVE The lexington public school boycott of Catholic was equally silly. It made no sense and solved nothing.
October 21, 200521 yr 5 years ago Paul Rains would kick the private schools out in about two seconds but he sure has changed his toon now. Some of you all need to relax the private schools are not going anywhere.
October 21, 200521 yr Being there in person to cheer on the team is more important than sticking it to school du jour. The kids deserve great support, no matter where they play. If you feel that you can not take that drastic a step then do not patronize the concession stands at the public schools. Do whatever you feel comfortable doing to protest this unfair treatment of our kids. Now THIS part, I can get behind. Too bad, I can eat & drink quite a bit - watch me pound down about $20 worth of food & drink in the parking lot tonight

October 21, 200521 yr Time to break out the PB&J. :lol:That's not tailgating....unless we're talking Pee Wee League.
October 21, 200521 yr That's not tailgating....unless we're talking Pee Wee League. Short notice, man. Gotta go with what's in the house at this point, unless someone has a microwave I can throw my Hungry Man in!

October 21, 200521 yr I respectfully disagree. Please explain to me your logic because to be quite honest I don't see it. To not support the kids, regardless of where they play is wrong. For many of the kids, it will be there last go round and the deserve their friend's and family's support. I would not want to be the one that told my child 'sorry junior, but if you are playing at a public school, I just cannot come and support you as I am trying to teach those darned public schools a lesson'. I hated that Prop 20 passed. I think it is ridiculous. But don't punish the kids.
October 21, 200521 yr Author Many of us feel that our kids are being punished for their success. As I said if you are not comfortable staying home then don't buy a program, a hot dog etc.
October 21, 200521 yr As I said if you are not comfortable staying home then don't buy a program, a hot dog etc. Any parent comfortable staying at home boycotting instead of going and rooting thier kid on has bigger problems to worry about than Prop 20.
October 21, 200521 yr Looks like All Tell enjoys using the "KHSAA Logic". Punish the kids since you didn't get your way. A hearing officer goes against your finding? Punish the kid and make him ineligible anyway. A vote that won't even pass the state BOE AND the legislature doesn't go your way? Stir up a stink and encourage people to NOT support the kids. Great attitude. Call Brigid and see if she can get you a job at the KHSAA. You would fit right in.
