I can't say enough about the guard play of JLang and Jordan Gilbert. Good guards will carry you along way in the post season. Our guard play was stellar tonight. Defense by committee on Stenzel was a key as well. Mason's bench was a huge factor as well with Tyler Black, Neal Pawsat, and Josh Harris all played huge with big time plays. Treg Setty hit a huge 3 after sitting out a majority of the 4th quarter. Hats of to the staff of Mason County and the kids that executed the plan. Congrats to GRC tonight....you just lost to a BETTER TEAM tonight!!!!!!

Congrats to the Royals. Gilbert and Lang, what can you say, may the the best 1,2 combination in the state.

 

Felt like this was Clark's game to lose and they shot their self out of it from the three point line, not taking anything away from Mason as they came ready to play. If Mason hits their free throws early, this game may have never been it question for them.

It was a well officiated game . Best ref's I've seen this tournament. Congratulations to the Mason Co team. The guards were very tough tonight. Gilbert and Lang are a very good set of guards. I thought clark had too many mental mistakes to win. They had a 5 point lead and shooting threes. You just don't do that. And mental mistakes throwing the ball in, gee, they've played too much for that. Daniels is a nice player but not close to a point guard,can't see the floor well enough. Clark is not going to win the big games using the type mentality they used tonight. They need some butt kickings and told when they do wrong. They make the same mistakes over and over. Oh well, go get them Masson Co. Remember ,you won't have that HC advantage at Rupp.

Well first off I want to say good and wise pick of the Region in 2009 and 2010 for Jonathan Fraysure in CatsPause. I was one who thought it was the right pick in both years and it turns out it was.

 

What can you say about Mason Co? Falling behind and coming back. It was a whole team effort. Everyone who played tonight gave it 110%. What a great game plan by the Mason Co coaches and great work to the players.

 

2008-Win at Mont Co

2010-Win at Fieldhouse

 

Mason Co has won 7 out of 9 Region Championships!
