Somebody just put on Twitter that O'Hearn is basically an idiot and can coach unless he has superstars. That's ridiculous.

Just goin on what I remember from Danny Weddle: Setty-10, Lang and Gilbert with 16 each, Pawsat maybe 10? For Clark, Rogers 17, Zollo 19 and 16 boards , but 1-8 from 3's, Stenzel 12. Anybody know how many blocks Zollo had? I do remember them saying Clark only had 2 bench points.

Anyone that bashes O' Hearn is a complete idiot! He is a class act with a great resume!

What an atmosphere for a regional final! The place was rocking on both sides tonight. Clark County brought a great crowd. Maybe I'm just a bit biased, but you can have the BOK and its cushy seats, its six dollar sandwiches and its half empty arena. I talked to more than one person - not from Mason County - who were in complete agreement.

 

Never underestimate the heart of a champion. Lots of the Royals play football as well, and a football mentality was needed to hang with a much bigger Clark County squad.

 

As I have preached many times, basketball - and especially high-school basketball - is a guard's game at its heart. Jordan Gilbert in the first half and Justin Lang in the second half proved it once again.

 

I really thought that Robbie Stenzel was going to take over the game. Then just like that, they got away from him. Credit Mason County's defense for some of that. Zollo hit a huge three towards the end, but as been said already, they seemed to get away from what would have been a winning formula - pound the ball inside over and over, then let Stenzel take his man off the dribble.

 

Congratulations to both teams for giving us a whale of a game!

Want to say something else, first off Congrats to the Catspause rankings! Mason was the better team! Now we all know why Clark didn't want to play Mason in the regular season. Also, want to say that the region should be at the Fieldhouse. None of the two places can compare with that tonight, it was awesome!

 

I will eat crow on my O'Hearn bashing. His team got it done tonight. Can you all at least now see why I bashed O'Hearn for not playing Blueford vs Brossart. The kid is too good to be sitting on the sidelines. I didn't like his matchups to start the game with Setty on Rogers, and that did get Setty in foul trouble. I thought Pawsat should of been on him the whole game, and O'Hearn did put him on him in the second half. So props for the adjustment! Also, his full court pressure with his guards was the reason for the win tonight. Great job O'Hearn you have silenced one of your haters!

And let me give a little love to Fraysure. He was practically crucified for picking the Royals to win the 10th this year; but in a guard-oriented game and a 1-game series...
