What cracks me up is that many people who are conservatives think liberals are angry all the time. I think that both sides seem angry all the time...but I actually think more conservatives are angry than liberals. I fall in the middle, and I'm rarely angry. But it seems to me that it only takes a tiny anything by the Obama administration, and conservatives start smoking from the ears.

 

FWIW...there's just nothing we can do about any of this as individuals. It's a waste of energy being angry over any of it. Use that energy to effect some change in your little world. Help some people who need helping, or something....just quit ranting. (and that goes for both sides). You'll feel a lot better when you help someone in need. It sure puts things in perspective.

Hate my friend is hate. Any way you want to cut it, it's hate. And if you don't think there are any African Americans that are racists against Caucasians, you are wrong.

 

When's the last time you saw a story about racism or hate in which a straight, white, American male was the victim? Or the last time the PC police cried foul over something said about a straight, white, American male?

It's been within the last several months that I read about a white kid getting beat up by blacks simply because the kid was white. If you want to say there are more white racists in the US than black racists, I'll agree with you. But I won't agree there are no black racists.

I do remember being angry at Bush. It was when the administration was trying to convince us that going to war in Iraq was the right thing to do. I'll admit I stayed angry about that issue right up until Bush was out of office. But other than that, I don't remember being "angry" about anything else.

I wonder if this Ratigan condemns the eco-terrorist organization ELF, or that misfit group that interferes with the Japanese conducting a legal business of hunting whales or the junk-scienctists who support man-made global warming. Does he rant to the Dem leadership about these groups, as these people are more likely to be members of the Dem party.

I'll admit I stayed angry about that issue right up until Bush was out of office. But other than that, I don't remember being "angry" about anything else.

 

I don't think most liberals or conservatives are or have been really angry. I think it's usually a publicity grabbing push. There are always push button issues but overall I believe the small minorities at the ends of the spectrum get the publicity. I can't remember when I've been really angry about something in politics.

I was REALLY angry about the decision to take military action in Iraq. I thought (and still do), that the reasons were fabricated and that we were being fed a line of crap to justify it. I fully admit to out and out anger. It was a foolish waste of energy, though, as I was personally powerless to influence the decision. Which, in retrospect, probably fed my anger.

I agree. Especially with the increased popularity of the internet and 24-hour news it's going to be the people shouting the loudest or who are the most outrageous that get the attention. I think it's troubling that there is such a demand for close-minded absurdity, though. And that goes for either end of the spectrum, Olbermann to Hannity or Beck.

Rockmom... I am a Rock dad and love your Rock posts...but I got a question for you...Since Obama was elected....where are all the people mad about the War in Iraq. When Bush was in...nightly news with horrible news...Obama gets in...dont hear a word...dont you find that interesting? Where are the protesters? They were everywhere when Bush was in and always on TV. You have to agree ...the coverage was tainted and now it is covered up.
