woodsrider Posted March 4, 2010 Posted March 4, 2010 I watched that yesterday. I can't believe MSNBC gives some of these idiots shows.
westsider Posted March 4, 2010 Posted March 4, 2010 Ratigan deserves to be chastised for how he handled the situation, but he's right about one thing ... Williams is offensive.
Hearsay Posted March 4, 2010 Posted March 4, 2010 Ratigan deserves to be chastised for how he handled the situation, but he's right about one thing ... Williams is offensive. Surely you do not base your statement on this particular interview. Surely there is something else, because this guy couldn't get a word in edgewise. Ratigan took up almost the entire 2:36.

Run To State Posted March 4, 2010 Author Posted March 4, 2010 I've seen and heard Williams interviewed many times ... he is offensive. Can you give us some examples? I've never heard of him until now so I have nothing to go on.
westsider Posted March 4, 2010 Posted March 4, 2010 Typical far-right radio host ... primarily just levels personal insults at those he doesn't agree with. I've seen him interviewed many times, mostly on Fox News.

75center Posted March 4, 2010 Posted March 4, 2010 I thought it was pretty funny when after his monologue when the guy was starting to respond to his question he talked over him as he asked "do you want to have a conversation with me?"
Fastbreak Posted March 4, 2010 Posted March 4, 2010 I'm apparently an ostrich... I've never heard of either of these guys, and the Ratigan dude came off as being completely deranged... no wonder MSNBC's numbers are in the cellar... and digging a sub-basement as we speak.
leatherneck Posted March 4, 2010 Posted March 4, 2010 I'm still chuckling after watching that video. Since I don't watch MSNBC I'd never heard of Ratigan or seen him before. What a wack job. Needs go get a prescription for Valium soon or his heart is going to explode. Williams may be that way too, but he sure didn't come across as such in the video. My first thought after watching it was the Tea Party must really have the liberals terrified for them to be attacking the Tea Partiers in that manner. Second thought after watching it was does Ratigan think there are no racists or bad people in the Democratic Party? I remember seeing signs calling for Bush's death at Democrat rallies, with no Democrat calling the sign holders out. Can you say double standard? Any one, and I mean any one other than his mother (maybe), that thinks what Ratigan did or attempted to do in that interview was acceptable is so partisan that their views and opinions will never have credence with me.
5wide Posted March 4, 2010 Posted March 4, 2010 MSNBC is pretty bad. I watched Ratigan one night because I'd never heard of him and figured I'd check out a new show...it took about 2 minutes for me to conclude that I wasn't interested. I'm not saying he's good or bad, but I didn't like him. This example here is nuts. It looks like he just brought Williams on so he could go on a rant against him. Why do "liberals" seem so angry all the time? Or, maybe it's just me.

George W. Bush, as far as we know, is a white, heterosexual man. Nothing you can say to him or about him would be perceived as racist or politically incorrect.

Why do "liberals" seem so angry all the time? Or, maybe it's just me. What cracks me up is that many people who are conservatives think liberals are angry all the time. I think that both sides seem angry all the time...but I actually think more conservatives are angry than liberals. I fall in the middle, and I'm rarely angry. But it seems to me that it only takes a tiny anything by the Obama administration, and conservatives start smoking from the ears. FWIW...there's just nothing we can do about any of this as individuals. It's a waste of energy being angry over any of it. Use that energy to effect some change in your little world. Help some people who need helping, or something....just quit ranting. (and that goes for both sides). You'll feel a lot better when you help someone in need. It sure puts things in perspective.

And if you don't think there are any African Americans that are racists against Caucasians, you are wrong.
