I don't have the details but I have been told Beechwood running back Joe Colosimo will be walking on to play football at Duke next year. I don't know if he is a preferred walk on or not. Perhaps someone else can fill in the details.

This was announced on the channel 9 news last night, but they made it sound like he was a scholarship commitment. Nothing was said about preferred walk-on, but that must be the case because Colosimo is not listed on the Duke University prospect watch list. His father did his residency at Duke and this may be a good way for him to follow in his foot steps and become just as successful. Good luck to the young man.

I was with his Mom last night and I didn't ask what the scholarship status was . I do know that both Mom and Dad and the whole Beechwood Community are very proud. I do know that Mom is from the Durham area.

Joe has been offered a preferred walkon at duke . Despite other offers he has elected to play at duke. Has accepted at duke and will be on a visit on March 20. Will play tailback.
