Final in the 33rd from Union.

Wow, does this count as an upset?

Ryle seems to be playing very well right now, and they had played Boone tough both times previously this season. Add in their home court and Boone's distractions, and you have the recipe for a win over your crosstown nemesis. Ryle will be a tough out next week.

Was Boone missing key players tonight?

Congrats to Alan Mullins and the Raiders.

Congrats to Coach Mullins and the Raiders - big win from Union, KY

Coach Mullins is a heckva man and comes from a great family. He's and old teammate of mine. We were members of a Junior Pro National Championship. For you youngsters that was the before Kentucky was playing AAU ball.

And yes he was a pretty good player and great all-around athlete. Better not let him get outside and turn the corner running the football or it was 6. Oops this thread is about basketball.

Anyhow a team is only as good as its leader and Ryle has a good one.

Congrats again- District Champs :dancingpa

Boone had two seniors leave the team over the past two weeks. This had to take a toll on the team.

I did hear that. Popp and Schultz, right?

I can't imagine what valid reason a kid would have to quit at tourney time.

Second most points scored by the Raiders this season. They are (6-1) when scoring in the 60's.

Frmwaydowntown cannot be happy.

Wildcatfan probably is less than thrilled also.

McLeish was in a zone tonight. The kid could not miss. Congratulations to the Raiders.

Congrats to the entire Ryle team. A very nice win and a long time coming vs. Boone. 0-4 vs. Boone and Conner during the season and winning when it counted. Ryle has not won the district for a long time. Best wishes to both teams in the regional tourney. Maybe just a little more best wishes to the Raiders.
