February 14, 201016 yr Henry would not have been suspended or cut by the Bengals. Fine then, but I think Goodell had reached his limit with him--it might not have been up to them. . My point is, that no matter how much it seemed he had changed he was still unstable enough to do what he did. It was going to happen and it almost always does happen again with guys like we're talking about. When you're counting on those people to be contributors is leads to disaster.

I don't see Matt Jones holding a Super Bowl trophy any time soon.

I don't like having thugs and criminals no matter what my record is. I would rather lose with hard working guys that stay out of trouble than win with guys who look for it.
February 14, 201016 yr But, OR if you're going to compare the two you do have to remember that Miami did at least win with their problem guys. Cincy doesn't, never has, and never will. So to some, problem guys would have been worth it. Not to me, but some people would rather win at all cost. I don't think the Bengals are doing that from a front office stand point. I think they know they need help at WR and guys like Jones are an easy get because they are cheap and no one else wants them.

February 22, 201016 yr Ben Utecht is done. His career is over due to concussions. I don't think it has been finalized yet, but he's done. I'd be very surprised if he ever lined up again. I like the Jones signing. Low cost, high reward. Let's not forget that, although Jones did not post impressive numbers, his quarterback left a lot to be desired in JAX. Hopefully a change of scenery will be good for him. Maybe his throwing ability will open up the offense a little bit. Or, maybe we just added another 6'6'' WR who can block downfield. Regardless, I like the move. Palmer and Garrard had very similar stats.
