February 12, 201016 yr http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4907418 Former Tennessee Titans and Dallas Cowboys cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones worked out for the Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday, according to league sources. The workout is thought to be Jones' first with an NFL team since the Cowboys released him in February 2009. Bengals coach Marvin Lewis has been a champion in providing second chances to players. Jones has avoided trouble since his last brush with the law in October 2008. He was involved in an alcohol-related incident with a bodyguard assigned to him by the Cowboys, and hotel employees called police. No arrests were made nor charges filed. But the NFL suspended Jones for four games because the incident was a violation of the league's personal conduct policy. Jones began his time in Dallas under close league scrutiny after he was suspended for the entire 2007 season for multiple violations of the conduct policy while he was a member of the Titans. The Cowboys traded for Jones before his suspension was over and he was reinstated by NFL commissioner Roger Goodell on Aug. 28, 2008. The Bengals also have expressed interest in former Jaguars receiver Matt Jones, who was suspended for the final three games of the 2008 season for violating the league's substance abuse policy. He was cut by the Jaguars in March 2009. According to The Tennessean of Nashville, the Titans have made Matt Jones a contract offer and were awaiting word back.
February 12, 201016 yr Both a problem child, but at least Pacman has some legitimate talent. Even if Jones didn't come with some baggage, I can't see the interest in him. He's been nothing special at all in the NFL and in fact is closer to being a first round draft bust. I couldn't imagine Pacman staying problem-free for long, no matter where he is. It's hard to take the "street thug" mentality out of a person. Prison sometimes helps . . . .

Pacman is way past his second chance, this guy has nine lives...
February 12, 201016 yr Pacman is a legitimate CB, well he was just a few years ago. He didn't look the part the time in Dallas, but if he regains that form... watch out...
February 12, 201016 yr Is Lane Kiffin coaching the Bengals now or what? No, the Bengals are still stuck with worse.
February 12, 201016 yr Pacman is a legitimate CB, well he was just a few years ago. He didn't look the part the time in Dallas, but if he regains that form... watch out... I just cannot see him returning that level. He had a few flashed his first couple of seasons playing a dynamic role as a DB and Punt Returner. As you alluded to though, in Dallas he essentially became a nickel back and was all but useless. Something tells me the Pac Man does not stay in game shape. Not worth the trouble.

If they can sign him to the league minimum, then I have no problem with it. Its the same case as it was with signing Larry Johnson. If he shows even the slightest bit of trouble, then they could just release him. This is the one reason why I don't have a problem with them taking a chance on guys like this. They will get these guys for cheap, and if they cause problems its an easy fix because they can just let them go. The only potential guy out there that could cause trouble that they would have to pay money for that is more than the league minimum is T.O. and even him I wouldn't mind the Bengals giving a shot.

The difference is with a guy like Chad on the team, I think it would keep TO in line. Those two are great friends, and I don't think he would act up if Chad was instrumental in bringing him to Cincy. Also, wouldn't it be cool to have a starting WR duo named Chad OchoCinco and Terrell OchoUno?

That is great in theory, but you cannot fill up an entire roster with a boat load of people with 2 strikes. You still have a roster limit and I believe most good run organizations have proven you build a strong roster through drafting.

Those two are great friends, and I don't think he would act up if Chad was instrumental in bringing him to Cincy. Also, wouldn't it be cool to have a starting WR duo named Chad OchoCinco and Terrell OchoUno? Haha that would be awesome. I know Chad first brought up the idea of bringing TO here, I didn't care for it to much. However just the more I thought about it, the more I wouldn't mind it. Obviously I would rather them have Brandon Marshall, but if they got TO I think it could work. I know I am also fine with the Matt Jones signing and would be ok with it if they got pacman. As long as they win that is all that matters to me. I think everyone is the same way, because we won't hear anyone saying bad things about it if these guys do help out.

You still have a roster limit and I believe most good run organizations have proven you build a strong roster through drafting. Which the Bengals have done. They are one of the youngest teams in the NFL, because they have built through the draft. However this team is also reaching a point where a couple of key guys are slowly getting older in like Chad, and even Palmer is slowly getting up there. So I like that they are just not sitting back, and depending on the draft now and HOPING that the draft picks would end up helping them in making that next step. They are a young team, and can now afford to take that chance to play for RIGHT NOW, and need to take that chance. This off season is a huge one in depending on what direction the Bengals will go from here. They can take that next step, or go back down hill. Looking at these guys definitely would help improve the team, and would be low risk high award. Not to mention they still would have the draft as well.

And I really like Chad, and compared to most can relatively stand TO. No one stops TO from being TO though, I don't care who he's friends with on the team.
