January 30, 201016 yr This thread got me to thinking about Beanie Weenies's, so I bought 4 cans today at the grocery before the snow set in. I love them with crackers. I already have Spam, potted meat, vienna sausage, pickled baloney, and other high quality mountain food, in case the snow is too deep to get out for a while.:popcorn:
January 30, 201016 yr Pretty much one and the same. The stuff looks too much like chopped up pig parts for me to partake. According to Wikipedia they're basicly the same except souse is made with vinegar. My grandpa and dad used to make it and loved it.
January 30, 201016 yr I love em with some Ritz crackers or some saltines. If there is a bowl around, I always pour the contents of the can into the bowl so I can get some of the weenie and the beenie with some sauce in one spoonful and then pop a cracker in my mouth and enjoy.

January 31, 201016 yr What other food can you eat that also doubles as bait! Well, as a kid I did a lot more crabbing than fishing. The two baits of choice were salted eels and rotten chicken necks. Needlesss to say, we brought other foodstuffs along.
