I would love it if Coach Cal gets on Patterson about playing harder. I mean, if he showed the effort he did pulling down those two boards, this might be a different game. it was like he was hiding out there. And I like Patterson just as much as the next guy.

Was that the first time this year that Orton and Cousins was on the floor together there in the second half ? Why not play all three and play Patterson at the 3 ? Just a thought . Would need Stephens to be ready to play a few more minutes .

I don't know why everyone is going ga ga over Downy tonight. He hit a few crazy shots down the stretch but other than that he didn't have a very good game. I'm not saying he isn't a great player because he is all that and more at times.

Let' not short change what Downey did tonight from the UK side. He is fun to watch. He is a two guard and not a point guard, which makes me curious as to how that will play over at the next level. In addition, he has a very high dribble which he will have to correct before getting to the League.

When you allow teams to hang around, then things get magnified.

 

People forget there is a lot of fools gold in UK's season this year...a lot of games they were able to pull out at the end...not this one.

 

I think one big play in the game is when Bledsoe missed that layup. I think that would have pushed it to 7 point lead if I'm not mistaken.

 

In regards to Patterson, he is playing out on the floor and still has some things to learn there. He still needs to hit the glass with a consistent effort. He hasnt really played that great in about a month.

 

Someone needs to step up and take the 3 spot by the horns.

That's my thoughts on him. He is quick, and he get's you to foul him alot. I think if UK would not have gone for his head fake so much and just stay on the floor with a hand in his face, he would have been less of a factor. But UK being a good blocking team, they look for that first, and they fouled him. He is not a good shooter, he is awesome at stopping and going.

Nope just stating the facts.

USC is -4 on the year in rebounding and got 20 offensive rebounds tonight.

 

Just got outworked, by a team that wanted it more, with a guy who has a lot of moxy and can make courageous plays.

Put PP on the Block and feed him in the 2nd half.

 

GT you are correct as usual Coach Cal is doing a lot of different stuff but it looks bad sometimes. At this point UK wants NOTHING to do with The 'Cuse matchup 2-3 or any other team that has a zone D...........
