USC blocked shots, played physical and the Cats didn't put up what, 12 3 point shots? Anymore inside IMO it would look like Robey and Phillips.
January 27, 201016 yr I hate that he left UC, but my God the guy is fun to watch... Downey is fun to watch ... and if UK can get that performance out of Downey the next time they play I will be very happy. Force him to drive to the basket (well done by UK), then collapse the defense and make Downey take the bad shots like he did or kick outside. Take away the offensive rebounds and UK wins by double digits.

January 27, 201016 yr Guys ... Downey shot a little over 30% from the floor. Some of his shots were spectacular, especially in the last 5 minutes but he was 9-29 from the floor.
January 27, 201016 yr I know people will say I'm crazy but UK did a pretty decent job guarding DD. 30 points on 29 shots is very average. What makes him a great player is the shots he hit near the end.
January 27, 201016 yr I guess UK did need a loss. UK should be 20 points better than SC but they did not take care of business. Alot of that has to be credited to Carolina, Downey and Coach Horn but UK should be able to beat this kind of team by a decent margin most times out. Disappointing game, but we deserve it. We as a fan base got ahead of ourselves way, way, way too much. I still like our chances in March, but this is a marathon not a race. Much improvement needs to be made in the upcoming weeks IMO.

He got two offensive rebounds on the same play and he threw it both times to Wall while he was 4 feet with-in the the basket.
