The Cleveland Cavaliers

Dude, I just don't like Lebron. It's really as simple as that.

Not to mention this whole thread was starting under the premise of his camera poses and then everyone starting pouring in with reasons. Weak reasons in my opinion, but reasons, nonetheless. I'm just wondering who is worthy of most of these peoples affection if the best player in the NBA right now isn't because he strikes some camera poses.

Quit Hatin.

I AM A WITNESS

Why does everything about LeBron always turn into something about Kobe? I thought this was a Cleveland Cavaliers thread, yet here Kobe is again getting blasted for no apparent reason. Jeez, the man makes mistakes in the public eye then least acts contrite about them(rape case), grows up and matures in the public eye(blaming teammates, Andrew Bynum tape), learns how to become a teammate in the public eye and finally wins a ring without the help of the greatest teammate of all time(Shaquille O'Neal) and yet you guys still hammer him.

And now LeBron, all of his 25 years of age strikes a camera pose and has his shoe people confiscate a tape of a weak dunk that happened in his defensive vicinity and he's a tool and the Cavs are unlikeable. You guys are a tough crowd is all I can say.

Just out of curiousity, what perfect athletes do all you guys like? Even Peyton Manning has thrown his teammates under the bus. I'd be interested in knowing what perfect pro athlete you like because a lot of you always seem to have something negative to say about everybody.

I'm not slamming Kobe, I just think it is hypocritical to say LeBron is a bad guy and Kobe isn't because Kobe's problems are far worse IMO than dancing. Everyone has their baggage. Kobe has owned up to his past so I can't bust on him too much. If LeBron's worst criticism when he's done is that he danced in pregames I think that would be pretty good considering what guys like Tiger have gone through.

Well, I think most would agree that Michael is the gold standard. He went to the Bulls and had to "learn on the fly", yet he didn't have to display all the antics that Lebron does. His "I'm going to be in the dunk contest" statement last year to only back out didn't stick well with me either. I agree with Charles Barkley, sometimes you just do things that are good for the game.

What gold standard? MJ talked more junk than anyone in the history of the NBA, not to mention what he did to Rex Chapman.

And how can we all forget the greatest Hall of Fame speech ever which was done by MJ as well. I"ll never understand how we allow one to do such things, but others do lesser things and it's a big deal.

I'll never understand why people care so much when people don't like the things that they like...

"Who are you man? Some bitter ex-high school player who never really made it. You sit around watching sports criticizing professional athlete's because you wish it was you out there?"

Louis Scott- Celtic Pride

 OK...

I don't like LeBron because he acts childish, and like he's bigger than the game. Good enough for ya PP?

Funny how people hate the best. Says something:sssh:

So that's why so many hate on Kobe?

Kobe's the best right now? Hmmm, wasn't aware of that.

Not what I was implying but rather is that where the hate came from?

FWIW, LeBron is amazing but annoying to me.

When I hated Kobe it wasn't because he was good. He's an MJ clone and that killed me. I wouldn't have liked MJ had the media and ESPN covered the NBA the way it's covered now.

I'm a Celtics fan and had the pleasure of watching my favorite team win the championship 2 years ago... What has LeBron won for me to be jealous of him? His abilities have nothing to do with why I "hate" him and if you would read through past threads you will see that I used to be a big supporter... But it's funny how people like to think they know the reasons others do things.

He can win all the MVPs and scoring titles he wants... At the end of the day, I'm content with the Celtics' rings.

For a kid who was given the money he was given at the age of 18, put on a team by himself with no other star or even semi-star, and having the entire world watching him and telling him how good he is, I'd say he turned out pretty good so far. I would rather hear someone say "I just don't like Lebron James" then someone give a platitude remark like "he is immature" or "he didn't shake his hand" or "he's a tool". Find something better to do. Hate on Vick or Arenas. Hate on Big Mac, A-Roid, Bonds or someone who has actually done something notably wrong.

No one has ever been put under this type of microscope and been told how good they are ever before in sports.
