I am a fat tub of goo...

I went to a Brian Wiefring's place in Newport, Wiefit, yesterday b/c I wanted to truly get back in shape. His place has gotten rave reviews here in NKY and he and his staff really helped transform a friend of mine. Welp, my journey starts on 1/20 at 243 lbs at 29% bodyfat...embarrasing. My wife and I are expecting our daughter on June 4th, so I really want to be in good shape to keep up w/ the demands of a newborn and two 9 year-old boys. If anyone cares, and even if they don't, I will post my updates each month. Also, if you are in NKY, it is definitely worth going in and getting a free consultation with Brian or his staff. He's been on the cover of Muscle and Fitness two or three times. He knows his stuff, and so did the guy I met with yesterday.

I thought for sure that Terry Forster was posting this. Good luck on your journey. I too have started an exercise program to get in shape, and lose weight, but I have a lot further to go than you do. What kind of program has he put you on?

It's really not the workout, it's the diet. I knew to eat six meals a day, they've really hammered that that means the weekends as well. Also, they made a list of proteins, complex carbs, fibrous carbs, and healthy fats to pick from to mix and match meals. Most of them don't appear to be too hard to make (which was my biggest thing, I hate to cook.) He has a website http://www.wiefit.com and takes internet appts. if interested.

Update on this.

On 1/19 I weighed 243 w/ a lean mass of 172 and 72lbs of fat.

On 2/16 I weighed in at 239 w/ a lean mass of 178 and 62lbs of fat.

In 28 days, I dropped 10lbs of fat, put on 6 lbs of muscle and lost 3.4% on my body-fat percentage. At the same time, I've never eaten this much before in my life. Now it's on two month two.

Keep up the good work, mex... :thumb:

I'm unclear where cookies, potato chips, and ice cream fits into this diet plan. Please expound . . . .

I've started back working out very hard and doing well. I actually eat fairly well until about 8:30 or 9:00 at night. Absolutely unreal the crap I eat from that point on. Very little self-control apparently. I might check this guy out, though if he is going to put down the nutitional benefits of Little Debbies snack cakes, I'm not sure he's the guy for me.

He was featured in this month's Muscle and Fitness again.

Good luck and stick with it.

Good luck and please post. When I was losing my weight I know how much it helped me to "brag" about how much weight I was losing. OK it still does, I lost 130 lbs., 17 inches at the waist and went from over 30% BF to 17%. I've kept it off for a year so far.

I've tried everything, and I'm still 100% BF. :idunno:

On 4/14 I weighed in at 228.6 w/ a lean mass of 181 and 48lbs of fat. This was after spending 5 days at an All-Inclusive in Punta Cana amd 5 days in Las Vegas with old friends from High School. This was a fulfilling 2 month stretch b/c I didn't let the debauchery derail me. It just side tracked me for a little.
