The Shepherdsville City Council unanimously voted to change the name of the street at its Dec. 14 meeting. Hall, the notable University of Kentucky basketball coach, started his coaching career at Shepherdsville High School in 1956.

Nope....not gonna happen. My mother made me grow up rooting for UK. There wasn't a choice in my house growing up. However, once Joe B retired, my Dad took over our sports allegiences and we evolved into Louisville fans...and have been for the last 30 years or so.

 

I had UK shoved down my throat from the time I was born. As soon as I could rebel, I did, and I ain't looked back..and I ain't gonna start now! :banana:

The thread title ask if he ever coached high school football though.

He coached at Shepherdsville now Bullitt Central not sure about the dates. He has talked about it often on the radio. Shepherdsville is in the process of renaming a street in his honor.

I always thought his first coaching job was boys basketball in Bagdad KY which is in Shelby County

Bagdad went to the State Basketball Tournament in 1952 and was defeated in the first round by Pikeville, 46-34. I think he coached that team.
