Xbox v PS3

Featured Replies

Will PS3 fix your console if it breaks after 3 years? Will they fix it after 1 year?

Fixed mine for free after 2 and a half years, and it was my fault it broke.. The only reason Microsoft fixes 360's is because they had too. If they wouldn't of put out junk then no way would they fix it. However, they know they put out something defective and have to fix it or lose customers.

Ps3's don't fail, 360's do..

I don't care about the failing. They fix it for free, what more can I ask?

I've pretty much got a brand new Xbox 360 sitting in my house because mine got the RROD. I didn't even have to go without an Xbox because I borrowed one.

The failing problem isn't really a problem for me.

No way.. I have both and the only reason I play 360 is because I have more friends on it. Graphics on my t.v. look better with the ps3, the relay is smoother and it lags way less. It is far superior.

Xbox's controller fits in your hand better, but the Ps3 is more sensitive and gives you a more realistic feel. On MW2 the Ps3 controls are set up better than the 360's as well.

Most of this debate is a matter of opinion, especially the last part of your post.

I've played MW2 on the PS3 and the Xbox 360 and I couldn't stand playing it on PS3 for more than a few minutes. Hate the controls.

Also, I never really have problems with lagging, or graphics. My friend has a 1080p 60 inch Samsung HDTV and his PS3 really looks no better than my xbox 360 hooked up to my 32inch 1080i.

And btw, the Xbox 360 failure rate is much lower now that the newer xbox 360's are being produced.

I've read it's as low as 4%.

You can ask for a better product.

You made my point. Ps3 doesn't have to extend its warranty, Xbox does.

Thank goodness.. It only took them 6 years..

I don't believe this at all. I can tell a difference in my own tv, just from when I am playing on 1080 p or i.

However, 60 inches is to big. 32 to 37 is all you need for video games, anything else is overkill.

If you mean online, yes, if not then no... However, ps3 isn't as far behind as everyone says.

:thumb: PS3 has got 360 beat all into pieces, it's not even close.

I must disagree. My 63" is perfect for games:D

I can see the pimples on the camping noobs through my sniper scope right before I put a bullet between their eyes on MW2.

As for the debate about which is better, I have both and I prefer my PS3. But I've only had the 360 for a little over a month. I suppose my opinion could change over time.

This is really an endless debate. You have PlayStation people and you have XBox people. Neither group will probably ever change their mind on which system is better. I'm an XBox guy, and I agree with HB20 that hooked up to the same TV, there is little to no difference in terms of graphics between the two systems. XBox Live is great, with new features added everyday. I've always disliked the controllers for PlayStation, they aren't comfortable in your hand at all.

I love my Xbox 360. The whole thing about taking nearly a month to repair a 360 is hit and miss. My xbox got the red rings and only to 10 days to send it, have it repaired and sent back.

Xbox live is great and they add new features on a constant basis.

One of the big things about the PS3 now is that they are losing a lot of their exclusive titles. Some have already switched over to multi-platforms, I think because of Sony's lack of major success with the PS3.

The games are amazing for both systems.

If you want a Blu-Ray just go with the PS3.

But IMO get an Xbox Elite and get Live and start enjoying the online experience.

360. Of course the only game I really play is Halo, so I don't have a choice.

I agree with HB20 in that they Blu-Ray is really the only advantage I can see with the PS3.

I was always a 360 guy, but I really like the PS3 better. Online isn't as good, but I think the games look better.

I'm so tired of this debate, so I'll say this: If you want to play first person shooters, you most definitely should be on the XBox 360. If you want some of the awe-inspiring graphics exclusive games, the PS3 is for you. God of War III is supposed to be a system seller for PS3 coming up.

If you care AT ALL about online play and playing with friends, then XBox 360 is your choice. Every PS3 owner I knew (all three of them - the other gamers went straight to 360) have now switched to XBox 360 and sold their PS3s, and it was on the strength of Live primarily.

Congratulations, Xbox 360 still puts out a better product. What's that say for PS3?
