January 15, 201016 yr Dragon, you get what you pay for. And it's hilarious that a free service on PS3 is not even close to something you have to pay for on Xbox Live.

January 15, 201016 yr But IMO get an Xbox Elite and get Live and start enjoying the online experience. I was told you could only buy Elite's now. Is that incorrect?
January 15, 201016 yr It's simply an opinion. I've owned both and I'm a Playstation person myself. I hate Xbox and their controllers. Like I said it's simply opinion. There isn't enough difference in the systems to make a difference which one you get.
January 15, 201016 yr It's not like I don't enjoy both systems, I like them both. I just like my Ps3 better and wouldn't pay full price for a 360. I got my 360 for 30 bucks from someone who had RROD, So I can't complain to much about RROD.
January 15, 201016 yr Have you been on Ps3's online lately??? How is it not close? Sure, it doesn't look as nice. But it does everything the same.. Yes I have. Two of my old roommates both had PS3's and we had the internet. I had the opportunity to play online on the PS3 whenever I wanted.
January 15, 201016 yr I have both... The First 360 I bought from Wal Mart...The Thing froze up in one day...Got lucky and the Manager at Wal Mart let me exchange it for another one...Knock on Wood after Two years it Works fine... The PS3 is great...My Son is the gaming expert,He plays only the PS3... I like Halo,Gears of War...so I use the 360... Have any of you played Bad Company?I kind of like it...
January 15, 201016 yr Author Thanks for all the input so far. In 2008 they were supposed to put in a 65nm chipset which was supposed to fix the RRoD problem. Sounds like that didn't help considering people are still having the issue. If I can get it fixed when it does happen, I may be leaning toward the Xbox.
January 15, 201016 yr PS3 by a longshot. I love the PS3. All of my complaints about the Xbox have been debated over and over. My son (spoiled brat) has both systems. I told him that there were starving kids in Africa that only had Nindtendos or PS1's but that didn't stop him from wanting both. He is a Call of Duty junkie and had been playing online on PS3. Some friends were playing on Xbox so that was his motivation to try Xbox. Getting the PS3 online was easy has pie....took only minutes, runs smoothly etc. We got an older Xbox from a friend and have not been able to get online in 2 weeks. Bought the wireless adapter (no built in), paid for a card for Live Gold membership or whatever it is (not free online), bought the Xbox version of game (anticipating that it would work) and have stared at them for 2 weeks. It says the connection is good but that the system needs to update (console update?). When it goes to install the update it kicks you out and says could not download, check connection etc.... blah, blah, blah. Have tried a thousand different times, checked internet, went to Xbox.com, called Xbox.......I am ready to throw the piece of junk out the window. Shew....I'm going to watch a blu-ray on my PS3 and calm down a bit. :madman:

January 16, 201016 yr "old roommates"... How recent is that? Within the last 6 months. But I've been to their house since then.

The RROD problems are way down from what they used to be. Like I said earlier, I've read that the failure rate for Xbox 360's now is 4%.
