January 25, 201016 yr The Alex Smith saga is laughable. What it looks to me like is that he wanted to see the #1 ranked Kentucky Wildcats play basketball at Rupp Arena and knew the only way he would get a ticket is to play the football recruiting angle. This is pure speculation on my part. He has denied "being on a visit", but has he also denied being in Rupp Arena on Saturday? I am doubting he has any interest in playing football at the University of Kentucky.
January 25, 201016 yr I haven't seen him other than highlight clips so I'm not really much of an expert on his game. He's 6'4" 200 with a 4.6 40 and Coach Jones feels like he is the perfect fit for his system. With Massa and Brown on the fence it was very important to land a QB in this class... Does Butch's system differ much from BK's? Did BK recruit this kid?

They are similar in some ways, but Butch runs a lot more of the read option stuff from his time at WVU and is a lot more committed to the run. If you are going to run out of the spread you better have a QB that can get it done on the ground, and Kater fits that mold. Most that have seen him compare him to Dan LeFevour who just graduated with several NCAA records at CMU. BK didn't recruit him while at UC. I think the kid would have stuck with CMU, but he had a falling out with the guy they hired when he was being recruited at Michigan State, and there was a lot of bad blood left behind...

At Millers bball game the other night, visited Bryant on Monday (commitment on Tues) and now back in Cincy. What is UL's QB situation RP that is how I would charm Brown? Wasn't GT his leader last week gametime? Can't figure Brown out but like the Bucks chances.
