I'd say at this point that is a goal of the Jaguars considering they haven't made the playoffs since 2004 I believe. They've never won a playoff game. That should be their second goal I'm sure once they've reached the playoffs.

 

The district will be up for grabs next year. There are a couple of teams that probably would rank higher, but overall it will be close. NL has a great chance to make the playoffs. They were only two plays away this year of being there.

BTW, I know of 2 teams that have that very date open right now per the KHSAA website.

 

1. Brentwood, TN (and they have stated they would do a 1 year deal and will travel)

2. Male, KY

 

I am just trying to help our neighbors to the west find a game to replace the NL game. And would be replacing it with a superior opponent since PC was going to 'hammer' NL anyway. Looks like the possibility of finding an opponent for that very week (week 0) is still out there!!! :thumb:

I know they lost some good players or else they wouldn't have went 5-5 and as much as I dislike Pulaski, they wouldn't have beat PC if they didn't have good players. I wouldn't say Coach Chris is Lane Kiffin, I never read one bad thing he was supposed to have ever said in the PC newspaper. It looked like it was all Hines talking bad about NL and bashing Coach Larkey. He must not know the rule of don't say anything if you aint got nothing nice to say. So refer back to the open games and see just how good you are. I say go for it PC, show KY how good the 1 time District and region Champs are. Prove TN wrong.

It's kind of an inside joke. I actually hate to compare any coach in the state of Kentucky to Lane Kiffin.

 

You are right, that NL would never have beaten PC if they didn't have some talent. 5-5 is the best record NL has had since 2004, ... the last time they were in the playoffs. They were actually only a few plays away from being a #1 or #2 seed. The district was crazy with 5 of the 6 teams being at .500 or better and it came down to the last week as to where they were all seeded.

 

As far as PC, they won the region fair and square. They got hot at the right time and had a fantastic run and I congratulate them.

 

Back to North. They did lose quite a bit of talent, but they have several kids that I expect to really step up big this fall. Jason Williams has big potential and I think he will shine. Fugate has to improve his throwing motion, but has the ability. Wagers, Rotundi, Williams, Sulfridge & others will be RB by committee. The line should be solid with another year of Larkey's offseason workouts. They have to replace Shears (leading receiver & #2 in 5A), Wardrup (leading rusher), Baker (leading tackler), Sapcut (mr intensity), Prewitt & Yantis on the D line, Miller (strongest player on last year's team), etc. It will be interesting to see who else steps up this fall.

The proof is in they eyes of the people who seen him sitting in the parking lot across the road with the camera- When they called in the plate it came back registered to him and his wife.When he was asked about it he said"his nephew had borrowed his car" yea right!! You can defend him all you want but the truth is he was there. Now did it make a difference in the outcome of the game-probably not.

 

 

Um, that's an illeagal use of police resources. You can't just run a plate like that. Shouldn't that State Trooper be looking for meth labs or criminals instead of hanging out at a football practice and running random plates? Once again, where's the proof. Its still hearsay...see watch this:

And you are right, .. the only way that NL and PC meet now would be in the playoffs. And while NL does need to improve, .... they did beat PC. On that night, like it or not, North Laurel was the better team.

 

But now that PC has an opening and could try and pick up Male or Brentwood Academy, .. that could really bolster their strength of schedule much more than playing poor old pitiful North Laurel who didn't even make the playoffs last year.

Shears was a solid deep threat and was able to outjump many DBs for a lot of his catches. He averaged over 22 yards per reception and made some tremendous catches last year. I don't think NL has a WR with his height, but Rotundi developed into a very nice WR who could get yards after the catch.

Exactly, he said "they ran the plate". He didn't say "the off-duty state trooper who was at practice called in the plate". Do not ASSUME!

1st and Goal was there, along with around 50-60 other parents, coaches, school staff, and media.

Really? Then explain how Pulaski ran through your district Perry Central -Whitley and Letcher central in the playoffs. :sssh:

If Pulaski don't quit their crying they may bust the new dam they are building at Lake Cumberland and flood Rockcastle. My goodness, move on and worry about next year. Now do people understand why no one in Rockcastle likes Pulaski. Good luck Coach Chris, hang in there and I know you have them boys working hard. Can't wait to talk to you.

 

The reason they got beat last year was simply a matter of overlooking the opponent and lack of focus on the game. All Hines and community preached about all week was the camera deal. If the coach would have concentrated more on what he needed to do to win, then PC would have won. I don't call that very good coaching tactics at all. Then when it is over he tries to blame everything else on the loss when actually it was him that caused PC to lose. PC came out fired up whooping and hollering and thought they were going to run all over NL and tried to use anger as a means to win. It doesn't work that way. A good coach would have not let that happen.
