January 11, 201016 yr Cribbs really wants out of Cleveland but I thought he was a FA this year? I don't think he is the answer at WR if you are looking for a #1. I believe he has three years left on his contract in Cleveland, but is demanding a new one right now. Threatens to "sit out" if they don't pay him more. Sounds like we should make a trade offer...
January 11, 201016 yr TE is a bigger concern than half of that list. I agree with the rest though. I disagree. Our offense has never used a TE much, which many will argue is because of a lack of a dependable option, but I think it's more the way our offense is set up. I think Foschi is adequate for the amount they use the TE, and it'll be tough to convice anyone to come to Cincy based on how little we look that direction IMO.

Early in the year they looked to the TE a decent amount and I think they just stopped going that way because nobody would catch it. Having a TE can make all the difference in the world. Of the eight teams left in the playoffs, seven of them have really good tight ends.

Also, don't forget that Coffman could have a meaningful impact next year. The guy won the award for the top TE in all college football last year and is a good size (6' 6", 250 lbs). He could prove to be a huge plus in the passing game IF the Bengals ever decide to make substantial use of our TE's. Something other than a 10 yard route would be nice . . . .
January 11, 201016 yr I don't really think the Bengals have a need at KR. Maybe not a "big" need, but if someone like Cribbs would be available he would be hard to pass up. He has an absolutely huge impact on what other teams have to prepare for and setting up good field position.
January 11, 201016 yr I am still very concerned about WR. Chad is gone in what a year or two. We need a splash in the draft and a splash in FA this year or next.

Once Scott got put in there to return kicks, he did a really good job. I mean obviously if you can get a Cribbs that would be even better and should do it. However I wouldn't even come close to putting KR in the top 10 of needs for the Bengals. Scott did a really good job back there for them.
January 11, 201016 yr I really think the Bengals should try to use Crosby more and have him be the slot receiver. I think he is someone who could be a lot like Wes Welker for us. Not to mention the chances he did get, he seemed like he has pretty good hands. Caldwell on the other hand seems to have a hard time catching the ball anymore in traffic. Caldwell might have very good straight ahead speed, but the slot does not fit him that well IMO. I would really like to see them use Crosby there, and then try to get another receiver like a Brandon Marhshall. Caldwell would be a good 4th receiver for us.
