What the Bengals need to do Next Season

Featured Replies

I know Golden isn't big but his best route has been the deep ball, if you want a homerun threat he is your guy. If you doubt this watch him go over Taylor Maze or his catch over 3 Washington State players.

The fact that his best route is the deep route poses another problem in the NFL.

I've seen mock drafts with the Bengals taking Brandon Lafell out of LSU. I don't know if I'd take a WR in the first round after Bryant and Benn are taken off of the board.

I saw one today which projected them to take the TE out of OK State. Some of these mock drafts just make you scratch your head.

But then again, so do some of the Bengal's decisions.

How do we know this Lafell isn't going to be a Doucet. After Bryant it is thin even Bryant has question marks.

Believe Marshall is a free agent but hes gonna be making some big money....

Isn't there something weird going on w/ free agents b/c of the "no salary cap in 10"? I thoght I heard some people that thought they'd be free agents will actually be restricted.

If its an uncapped year I think it simply means there is no payroll limit. So the Skins and Cowboys could turn into the Yanks/Sox.

Then college football will officially be better.

I don't think Brandon Marshall is going to be a free agent. John Clayton was just on the radio talking about how he thought Marshall would be traded. Maybe I heard wrong though.

I would love to see Marshall with the Bengals. He's one of my favorite players.

I believe you're thinking about Jermaine Gresham, the TE at Oklahoma. He's

a huge target at 6'6", 261 lbs. that can catch and block very well. He's had a hard time staying healthy, but I think that would be a great pick. I'd take Mardy Gilyard with the second round pick.

I don't think the Bengals will have a chance landing Marshall. I think that will

be one of Shanahan's first moves for the Redskins.

You're right, Jermaine Gresham. But he's out of OK State. Apparently he has been injured all season.

I wouldn't mind Gilyard with the 2nd round pick, if he's still available. But, if that's the case, we have to take a safety in the 1st round.

I wouldn't mind taking Brandon Spikes or Rolando McClain in the 1st round, if they're still available. I'd love to see a LB corp of Maualuaga, Rivers, Dhani Jones & Spikes / McClain.

Gresham is a Sooner.

Good call. Each time I've seen his name & it was in orange, so I figured it was OK St. I stand corrected. :thumb:

Gresham is a Sooner, c'mon guys.:ohbrother:

He would be a great pickup for the Bengals or any other team IMO. I think he could be a top 5 TE in the NFL if he stays healthy. 6'6", 260 lbs., extremely good at catching the ball. He has the potential to be a great blocker as well IMO.

If he gets back to health he could end up being the best offensive skill player in the draft IMO.

Also, if they don't pick him I'd grab Hernandez if he falls late in the 2nd round or 3rd round. He's an underrated blocker IMO, and though he doesn't have good size could be a good target for Palmer.
