January 11, 201016 yr Hire Mike Martz as OC.? I wouldn't mind that. I am sure Marvin Lewis would also make him have to run the ball more than he usually does too. Wouldn't be my top choice, but would still be better than what we have right now.
January 11, 201016 yr I would not want Mike Martz as OCoordinator. He is a throw the ball way downfield type of coach that gets QB's beat to death. Cutler might have a chance with him in Chicago I think that's a better fit.

I really think the perfect guy seriously would be Brian Billick. I don't see much of a chance him coming here to be an OC behind a guy that was once on his staff. A man can dream though. I know if I was Marvin I would try though. I would tell him that if he came here, and is able to get this offense back on track, it would only be a year or two and then some team would probably be calling him to be a head coach again.
January 12, 201016 yr TE is a bigger concern than half of that list. I agree with the rest though. This is only a concern to a team that knows how to use the TE. This team and OC hasn't shown a desire to get the TE involved in anything more than blocking. They drafted a TE last year but say he can't block. Dallas Clark is not known for his blocking but he sure finds openings in the defense and without him this year where would Indy have beenwithout him?

The relationship with Billick is there. I don't know if he wants to be Head Coach or not. Palmer as his QB would be some incentive for him IMO. I think it all depends on what Billick wants to do with his future. I don't like the Martz fit. I would be hard to be much worse than what we have right now though. Palmers college offense was built around West Coast Principals. I would go get guys good after the catch if that's the route you are going. The Bengals are built to run/play action really so that messes that up. That's what happens when you get a clueless owner.
