The following is what the Bengals need to do next season:

 

1. SIGN ZIMMER- He brought in a lot of good players and a lot of good players on Defense like him a lot. This well help the bengals keep above 500 every year.

 

2. GET A NEW OC- BOB is terrible and Marvin needs to realize that. Get a young OC in here. All he does is RUN,RUN, PASS ,PUNT.

 

3. GET A 2nd WR in here- COLES is Terrible. Take a Risk on Brandon Marshall or someone along those lines. All the teams have to do when playing the Bengals is double Chad and they cant pass the ball.

 

4. ON DEF SIGN ROY Williams and Tank Johnson- Those two guys I think played very well before getting injuried.

 

5. ON Offense- Sign Larry Johnson. I dont think Scott is a good everyday back and should be only use for long 3rd down and Kick Return

 

6. Draft young Safety and TE- I think our TE are terrible. I also think that Nelson and TRENT is terrible.

I actually agree with most of that. We were desperate when TJ bailed. We gave Coles a retirement contract, he has lost more than a step and is nothing more than an average possession receiver. We badly need a home run hitter. Ocho is still solid but he is going to slow down soon as well.

Not a Bengal fan but your list looks fair other than Marshall and Johnson on the same team. That would be fun to watch play out.

I agree that Nelson is one of the worst safeties in the NFL. Trent is a rookie, and will mature into a third CB, and that is what we need. Number one priority is sign Zimmer and then get a new offense coordinator. I agree with almost all of what you said. The Bengals offensive coordinator has single handedly turned Carson Palmer into a below average QB most games when clearly he is very good. We also need some more pass blockers on the offensive line.

Nelson is a rookie. He had a bad game, but I don't think anyone ever thought he was going to be a pro bowler.

 

Draft a Safety. Give Coffman some time to develop & see what happens with him. I think the Bengals like Foschi, unfortunately.

If he's a FA, then the Bengals' chances go from slim to zero. Hopefully we can get someone to stretch the field in the 1st 3 rounds. Honestly, I'd take a WR in the 1st if he's a big guy who can run. A safety in the 1st 2 rounds is a must. I'd love to take someone like Taylor Mays in the late 1st round.

He is not rated very high. I see him being a Wes Welker type of player. I would love for the Bengals to draft him, but they will end up passing over him.

Shipley is probably Caldwell. We need someone to stretch the field like a Tate or possibly Mardy... I wanna see how he does at the combine.

I just think people are going to be shocked by Tate. I think Dez turns into another David Boston. JMO though.

I know Golden isn't big but his best route has been the deep ball, if you want a homerun threat he is your guy. If you doubt this watch him go over Taylor Maze or his catch over 3 Washington State players.
