Because he isn't one of the best in the country. I wouldn't even put him in the top 5 in QB's much less all players.

Florida would beat both of these teams by 5 tds.

 

I have to agree. College football has a few elite teams (Alabama, Texas, & Flordia this year) and then they have everyone else. Year in year out the names of the elite teams may change a little (USC or LSU or Oklahoma will be elite) but everyone else is a step behind. College basketball has more parity because one good player can get hot and pack you over a more talented team, but in college football overall talent means alot more and it is sad to say but the elite teams have more talent.

Against kids that could not have seen the field at Flordia, Alabama, or some other big time programs. I'm not impressed with stats unless you do it against the best competition.

He played against Oregon who is probably better than anyone UF or Texas faced in the regular season. 39 to 3 is amazing I don't care if you're playing against Pioneer league competition.

Boise loses one starter... that is nuts.

Moore had a great year Heisman worthy. I was expecting more points I wonder how both would much up against the defenses ahead of them. Regardless, you have to love what Boise does there always dangerous.

Nobody wants to play the Boises of the world in a home-and-home.

 

They are pretty daggone good at preparing over the course of 5 weeks for a bowl game.

All Oregon did was win a watered down Pac 10. USC was not typical USC. Oregon got beat by the Slow 10 champs in the Rose Bowl. Oregon made Pryor look like an all world QB who had a sub-par season. Bottom line is he played weaker competition week in and week out. If he wants to be considered one of the best then he needs to try and get on the field and out perform some of the best.

Both teams had very quick run to the ball defenses. TCUs QB was OK but missed some passes, BSU QB was also very good but has a slow release. Bad pass by the TCU QB was the only TD for the Broncos for a long time. I believe several teams could beat both teams...Bama/Horns/OSU/Gators, thats four. I'd love to play either team next year in the BCSCG.

 

I also enjoyed seeing the dance teams, but MAN how many times did the cameras go into the stands? :confused:

I'm sorry but neither Boise St. nor TCU showed me anything last night the proves they deserve to be mentioned in the national championship discussions.

 

All the talk about Boise St. was about how powerful their offense was going to be, and they managed to score all of 10 points.

 

TCU looked to have have absolutely nothing on offense, their defense did look good but if you are going to beat the elite programs you have to be able to score.

 

I'm sure some will argue that the TCU offensive woes were due to the Boise St. defense, but but if you look at their resume over the course of the season they really have not been very good. They have allowed over 20 points 6 times this year: Fresno St. 34, Tulsa 21, Louisiana Tech 35, Idaho 25, Utah State 21, Nevada 33. Lets not forget that Nevada was shut out by Notre Dame, and I think we can all agree that the Irish defense has been garbage for some time now.

 

Their only real good win heading into last night was against Oregon which was ultimately a 3 loss team. Oregon's defense has been very poor this year as well also allowing teams to score over 20 points on six different occasions: Purdue 36, Utah 24, Stanford 42, Arizona St 21, Arizona 41, Oregon St. 33.

 

I cannot fathom that had Florida or Bama played these teams that they would give up anywhere near the points that Boise St. did. Both Florida and Bama only allowed a team to score over 20 points twice each. Florida gave up 32 to #2 Bama and 24 to #3 Cincinnati. Bama allowed Virginia Tech to score 24 and Auburn to score 21.

 

I believe that if you put Boise St. in the SEC, Big 12 or Big 10 no way they run the table. They have a good team, but IMO they are not at the level of a national champion and I feel last night did nothing to help their case.

Yeah, you're right. Oregon and TCU aren't two of the best teams in the country. Heaven forbid anyone think that someone outside of the SEC is any good at all. :idunno:

 

Kellen Moore, IMO was much better than Tebow this season, and a little better than McCoy. Boise is undefeated and beat the champs of the Pac 10 and MWC. If that's not good enough, nothing is. TCU and Oregon are better opponents than McCoy faced this season IMO. Both of those teams beat Nebraska, Oklahoma State, and UT's big OOC game.......Wyoming :lol:.
