Charlesw88. I am not putting your team down in any way. The 4A game was the best of them all. Two very good teams going all the way to try to win the state championship. Not trying to down your team in any way at all. There were just a lot of doubts and questions among everybody including officials and certain people that were right up there in front of the plays in the double overtime. Congratulations to Boyle. Lone Oak hopefully will be back and I am sure Boyle will be too.

I've heard of a possibility of two major changes next year. First, on the table is the district winner and runner-ups advancing to the State Playoffs. Not sure that will pass. But the other that I heard that I think will pass is this. Whatever class you are in you have to play in that class, no more playing up. Which means, a school like Somerset will play 2-A instead of 3-A and Highlands that I think is a 3-A school will be in that class instead of the 5-A.

I believe any changes will affect 2011 season, not the 2010. Also I believe that based on the current enrollment breakdowns it is likely that Highlands would be a 4A school. CovCath is also 4A by enrollment, and I believe that Scott is right on the edge. Might be interesting to see the 2011 alignment.

 

You might see Highlands, CovCath, Scott and Holmes back in the same district again.

 

It might cause a big dilemna for Dixie, since I believe they would still be a 5A school, with no other geographically close 5A schools to compete with.
