UK just couldn't score enough IMO.

Tough loss for the Cats. They are every bit as good as Clemson, but made some costly mistakes. 3-1 for these Seniors in Bowl games... not too bad.

Good game not sure why Clemson came out passing but they got there run going. UK has some young talent.

It wasn't the CJ Spiller show like many expected. Had 12 carries for 29 yards before that last drive... finished with 15 carries and 68 yards.

 

You hate to call a player out, but the fumble by McCaskill probably cost UK the game. Cobb had some drops that hurt too.

UK hurt themselves getting the ball at midfield at the end of the third quarter, we need at least a field goal on that drive. Terrible series of plays there.

True... followed up by an awful punt. The fumble inside our own 20 was the back breaker though.

Oh, I'm sorry. 57 (I was guessing at 65). He made plays when he needed to and still ended up with 125 total yards and a TD, that's about his normal production (rushing/recieving). I get what your saying, he didn't just demolish them by himself.

 

UK had their chances. I thought Newton made some big plays, had he only stretched out on the scramble...

Lexington Channel 18 just announced Brooks told the team after the game he was 80% sure he would step down as coach. Looks like it's Joker's turn.

This game kind of sums up the season....very little accomplished through the air, and missed a bunch of potential scoring opportunities....but we saw this against USC-lite, MSU, and then again against Eww-Tee.

I'm kind of torn as how to feel. After how the Tennessee game ended, it sorta ended football season for me.

So much was riding on that game, in my opinion, and to fall short just sucked it out of me.

If they won this game, it would have been gravy. Clemson is a better team, and they did what they had to do to win.

It will be interesting to see how the coaching staff shakes out...if Brooks does step down and it looks like it.

I think there may be some people shed from the staff, for the positive. There are a few who have been fingered as dead weight in recruiting...Steve Brown for one.

I think the future is bright personnel wise.

If this is Coach Brooks' last game as Kentucky's coach, then this city/state owes him one big standing ovation. Through probation and everything, Papaw Brooks has brought the Cats from the cellar to the front door. Hopefully Joker will be the one who lets us in the house. These last couple of years are the first I can remember the Cats actually being able to matchup with the rest of the SEC physically. Now they just have to be able to continue this trend, then learn how to matchup mentally. Big difference in winning, and knowing how to win. If Kentucky can continue to develop their players the way they have, then start to add some more highly touted guys, then we will only continue to get better, and only continue to see this type of success. And yes even in loss this season was and is a success for Kentucky football. Making four straight bowl games, and winning all but one is very impressive for Kentucky.
