December 23, 200916 yr It appears that Brian Brohm will get the start for the Bills this Sunday against the Falcons. Ryan Fitzpatrick is injured and the Bills want to see what Brohm is capable of doing. Hopefully he does well. These couple of starts to finish the season could make or break his career.
December 23, 200916 yr The Bills should do this regardless if Fitz is hurt. The whole league knows what you get with Fitz. They do not know what you get with BB.

December 23, 200916 yr Hopefully he "shows out". I've always been a Brohm fan and would love to see him get a chance.
December 23, 200916 yr I hope he does well, Buffalo is in desperate need for success. He never had a legit chance in Green Bay but the Bills have no answer at the Qb position and a good showing may open the door for Brohm.
December 23, 200916 yr To be honest, I don't think BB has the arm for the NFL. Neither did Montana, Drew Brees, or Troy Aikman...
December 23, 200916 yr Neither did Montana, Drew Brees, or Troy Aikman... Yeah but I don't see him winning any Superbowls.
December 23, 200916 yr To be honest, I don't think BB has the arm for the NFL. Neither did Chad Pennington...lack of arm strength most certainly limits your ceiling as an NFL QB, but it doesn't exclude you from playing the position if you can make up for it elsewhere. I hope Brohm plays well and uses this as a springboard to get a starting job somewhere in the league. Good luck to him. Maybe he could go to Oakland and reunite with Bush.
December 23, 200916 yr Neither did Montana, Drew Brees, or Troy Aikman... Exception meets rule. Brian Billick commented on how arm strength is so much more important today than previously as schemes get better and athletes get faster. The window is so small that a less-than-strong arm requires perfection.
December 23, 200916 yr Rich Gannon is another guy that comes to mind...he was a journeyman QB who had some great years with John Gruden. Its all about working hard and hopefully finding the right fit. Too much is made of arm strength when judging NFL QB's...certainly its important, but no more important than other qualities at that position. Not every guy has the total package like Peyton Manning. I'll say this much...I've witnessed infinitely more guys who had sub-par arm strength succeed, and some at a very high level, in the NFL than vice-versa. The most important thing is are they smart enough to play the position? Next is accuracy... Brohm's arm is good enough. If he doesn't make it, that won't be the only reason.
December 23, 200916 yr Author Biggest thing for Brohm, IMO, is regaining his confidence he lost after his junior season in college. Maybe this fresh start will allow him to do so.
