I was going to add Love Actually making the thread but I didn't think it would get many votes.

Surprised no one has mentioned 'The Christmas Shoes'.

My favorite is, "The Night They Saved Christmas", its an old one that probably isn't very famous at all with Jacilyn Smith.

 

But, since no one has probably heard of it, I voted for the Santa Clause. I love it.

Planes, Trains and Automobiles is a Thanksgiving movie. They're trying to get home for Thanksgiving, not Christmas. :thumb:

I voted "A Christmas Story" but I like and enjoy "Miracle on 34th Street" and "It's a Wonderful Life" just as much. I wish we could have had a multiple choce on this one.

1. Its a Wonderful Life, 2. Miracle on 34th Street, and 3. Christmas Story. Am I showing my age?

"Christmas Vacation" is in a class by itself for me. I LOVE that movie.

 

No person has ever really defined what "Christmas movie" really means. I understand some of them are no brainers, but just because a movie takes place around Christmas time, does that really make it a Christmas movie? If so, Love Actually and Die Hard are at the top of my list.

 

Of some others mentioned, Bad Santa is great. Christmas Vacation and The Santa Clause are pretty good.

 

I know many did not like it, but I sort of liked Fred Clause.

The Christmas Story is #1 on my list. I saw the play this year too and loved it.

Isn't Rambo a Christmas movie? I seem to remember a lot of Christmas lights and decorations being blown up.
