December 11, 200916 yr Which is the best and why? Gonna buy one as a present and know nothing about them. Thanks.
December 11, 200916 yr Author It really depends on what type of games you want to play.. So games are not compatible with all systems? Its going to a family that has a daughter 16 and a son 11. Kids are athletic. The parents are 38 and 35. Family doesn't have a lot but are good people. So the cost of games is a concern as well.
December 11, 200916 yr Well, Wii games are more family oriented. Xbox's money maker is the online game-play but it costs money. PS3 has the blue ray, along with free online play
December 11, 200916 yr I would get a Wii in that case. The Wii's games usually run about 10 to 20 dollars cheaper per game. They are very family oriented and can be a lot of fun. Xbox main sell is online which is essentially the cost of a game every year to even have. PS3 is mostly for show in my opinion and if you don't have a huge TV the graphics PS3 does won't be that big a deal. Wii has been a huge hit around our house too though. Not to mention all Wii's come with a hard drive to save games, the cheapest x-box's have no way to save the games and the price difference between an x-box with a hard drive and and a PS3 would allow you to buy a couple of Wii games to go along with the system just in the price difference.
December 11, 200916 yr Mrs. nWo and I got a Wii gaming system for our oldest grandson. The reason is it is family oriented. He can play the games with his father and mother.

It's also a game system that can be enjoyed by the whole family. I own a Wii. I don't play it religiously but it's a nice novelty to have around. I grew out of the video game phase a few years ago but I still find enjoyment in breaking out the Wii every now and again. If I were going to purchase another game system I would go with a PS3, mainly because of the blue ray player.
December 11, 200916 yr If you decide to buy the Wii, go buy it now.... They had a special last week, I'm not sure if it's still running. I bought my little brother a Wii last Monday for $200 dollars. On top of that I got a $50 dollar gift card from Walmart with the purchase so it only cost me $150. That's a great deal...
December 11, 200916 yr Author Gonna buy this weekend, probably Sunday afternoon. Are the different games out there compatible with all systems? Do different games have different kind of equipment to play the game? I have never played any of them. I did have a nintendo 25 years ago.

Each system has it's own games that are compatible with that system. Wii games work on the Wii. PS3 games work with the PS3. XBOX games work with the XBOX. The Wii is the only system I really know about. Out of the box it's going to come with one game (Wii sports) and one controller. Wii sports is a lot of fun but I would recommend buying an additional controller so two people can play the game together. Whatever system you decide to buy, go to Walmart and have someone in electronics help you out. They'll let you know everything you need to know.
December 11, 200916 yr We have all 3. Though I have little personal experience, I would say that playing time by my kids is as follows: 1. X Box 2. WII 3. Playstation
December 11, 200916 yr Wii for family fun. Xbox for every other need except blueray. That's a big perk in buying a Ps3.
