1. Holmes
2. Scott County
3. Clark County
4. Eastern
5. Shelby Valley
6. Ballard
7. Tates Creek
8. Christian County
9. Jeffersontown
10. Warren Central
11. Lexington Catholic
12. Shelby County
13. Trinity
14. Fairdale
15. Seneca
16. Mason County
17. North Hardin
18. Boone County
19. West Jessamine
20. Highlands

Things I noticed was the the top 5 stayed the same. Ballard moved from 14th to 6th. Lexington Catholic dropped out of the top 10. Mason fell from 12th to 16th. Trinity was not rated in the preseason poll and this one comes in at # 13 and Seneca at # 15. Fairdale ranked #14 in previous poll drops out as does, Muhlenberg County, Bryan Station, PRP and Bowling Green.

Your thoughts.

Why isn`t Cark Co. number 1,being that the top 2 teams lost?

No offense to the other 19 teams but Highlands is a top 10 team BELEIVE IT.

They can handle Shelby Valley... I've seen both teams play

Mason Co. is coming to town soon soooo.... word will be spreading fast.

This team has it all size, speed, experience, depth, focus they're on a mission.

This team went 21-9 last year and returns ALL its starters and their bench from last year. Who else can make that claim?

A new coach with a uptempo style a very tough out for anyone in KY.

Could be Coach Flynn's 4 different school he's taken to the Sweet 16 :dancingpa

I too thought there would be some shake up in the top 5.

Holmes played a better opponent than Scott County so I can see why the remained on top. I thought Clark might jump SC in the polls though with an outside shot of Holmes. Holmes is still the top team in the state regardless of that loss.

PRP drops out after beating Shelby County in a scrimmage, Anderson County, Fern Creek and Iroquois?

Ballard moving into the top 10 was a good move. I think Bowling Green is out of the top 20 as they should be, however I'm confused as to why they would be moved out now after the fact, given that they hadn't played. Still, it's the right move.

The Top 4 are valid for sure IMO. Good to see that Boone County and Highlands are in the top 20.

Ballard is top 4 for sure. Best team in Louisville. Mark it down.

I agree. Highlands is a top 10 team and would handle a lot of the teams ranked ahead of them. They have great depth and play tough, hard nosed defense.

I think the Louisville teams are OK for now.

Ballard certainly deserves to be top 5.

Trinity will have Ballard next week so we'll get a truer picture if they can play them close.

Seneca struggled with an average St. X team so the jury is still out there.

Fairdale keeps winning. Not sure why PRP isn't in here.

Five of the top 15 in the 7th Region and three of the top nine.

Probably justified for now. As we go along and see how the state teams do against Lou teams the picture will get clearer.

Ballard beats Scott Co(#2). Trinity had several chances to beat Shelby (#12) with best player out most of game. Jtown rolling.

Time will tell!:idunno:

I don't know how Scott and Holmes can stay above GRC when Scott lost a game and Holmes was beaten, as well as beaten in a scrimmage by GRC. I know scrimmages don't count but they should carry a little weight when speculating rankings! :idunno:

In the end it will all be decided in March in the house that Rupp built!

I want to know how West Jessamine remains in the top 25 with a 1-2 record?
