Highlands 73 St. Henry 41

Featured Replies

High scorers for Highlands were Smith Keller with 18, Kowolonek 16 and Stewart 11. Very unselfish and uptempo game by the Birds.

Nice start to the BB season for Highlands and there new coach.

This highlands team is going to be tough to beat. They shot the 3ball pretty well. They are very very fast. They play fast and they are big. Oh, and they have a lot of experience.

In my opinion Highlands might be an all around better team than Holmes. Guess we'll see?

Highlands is going to be very tough this year. Coach Flynn has taken the leashes off these boys and finally let them get out and run. Highlands is going to regularly put up around 70 ppg.

Things don't get much easier for St. Henry. They travel to Covington to take on Holmes Thursday night.

Top to bottom, I think you might be right. Highlands has more quality depth than Holmes.

Wow! I was way off my prediction.

Birds look like they will make some waves this winter!

I think there might be two threads on this game.

Pretty close to my 72 to 50 Bird Victory. No Grubbs or Gordon either it appears. That is unless Gordon didn't hit the books. 2nd man off the bench last year leads Birds in scoring. This team is scary good and with their depth they could win the majority of their games.

I doubt we'll be seeing any Coach Faust testimonials in this thread.

I will be glad to give him one. Coach Faust does a great job. His teams always play smart, hard nosed basketball. He gets better results with less talent than anyone in the area. Coach Faust has been a top five coach in the 9th region for the better part of the last decade. :thumb:

100% agree!:thumb::thumb:

Plus, as the season goes, his teams seem to always get better and peak at the right time!!!

Past Two years it has been right around the Invitational at Thomas Moore. They've made their turnarounds at that point in the season.

Coach Faust will have this team ready. This team looked a little out of sync last night, they did not shoot well at all. I know one of the starters did not see much time last night, but would he had made a difference possibly. Would the outcome been closer maybe. Is Highlands a team on a mission this year very much so. I have to agree they will give Holmes and Boone a run for the title this year in the 9th. Hats off to a very good Highlands team.

Highlands will do more than just give Holmes and Boone a run for the title this year. Highlands is a better team than Boone IMO and it wouldn't surprise me at all if they beat Holmes considering the game is at Highlands.

This Highlands team, top to bottom, is the best team in the region. Unfortunately for them, Holmes starting 5 and top 6 with Rice is probably the best in the state.

Should be interesting to see how Highlands continues to progress as the season goes on and they get Grubbs in the swing of things.
