December 8, 200916 yr As of tomorrow, he will have been an assistant at Florida.....DC and associate Defensive Coordinator....it is expected that he'll bring Gonzalez (wr coach), as the new OC, Gonzo also serves as the recruiting coordinator for UF....this could be a very dramatic hire for Louisville.....the talent level could upgrade almost immediately. I thought Gonzalez would follow as his OC. He's a steal for UF IMO, most of the fans I've seen would rather have him as the OC over Addazio. Slam dunk of a hire for U of L. I'm legitimately happy for them. They could not have landed a better coach IMO out of the candidates.

December 9, 200916 yr What a relief, the past is behind us. I fully expect Strong to get the Cards back on track soon. I think recruiting will take off this summer. I hope Gonzo is coming too, this is very exciting news for the Cards and Card fans. I just hope everyone has a little patience... :dancingpa

December 9, 200916 yr Good get for the Cards. How many open scholarships do they have to give right now? May be a little late in the game, but maybe Strong will go after Cam Newton? He was at UF and had to go to JuCo. I dont' really remember what went down there, but it must have just been grades because Dan Mullen is trying to bring him to Mississippi State. He's a QB that could come in and play NOW, and has experience in the system they will bring in. I don't really know about U of L's academic standards, and this is just speculation, but I think that would be a great pick-up for U of L.

They did for one or two years....it was a great games to start the season with....I fully see that happening again in the near future....actually, now, I wouldn't be surprised to see the opener next year, get a high billing on the mothership.

You're right. I should have said again. The Brohm-Woodson showdown their Senior year had high ratings I believe.

December 9, 200916 yr I called this one. It's an interesting hire. There are a lot of Pros by the style he plays and the talent pool he's been around in Fla to recruit. He hasn't been a head coach which is rolling the dice sometimes. I like the hire though. The biggest 2 parts are the athletes you get and the coaches you surround yourself with.
