It cracks me up that people don't get the size difference. Just because you have won more championships doesn't mean you are the team of the decade. Trinity and St.X should win 6a every year. You have a huge huge advantage..I think it is a lot more impressive what HHS has done than Trinity and X beating schools they should every year. JMO :popcorn:

Frankly, I'm not concerned about where they live, because I advocate complete and total open enrollment. So, while it's nice to see that 99% of the Highlands kids are from Fort Thomas, it really doesn't impress me as much as let's say....Greenwood. Highlands is an Independent school which means to me that although public, they do enjoy certain advantages over most other public schools. The fact that Highlands succeeds is due in large part to very similar qualities that Trinty shares...great feeder systems (Jr Football vs. CSAA), great community support, committment to the sport, great coaches, a great percentage of kids who play, the ability to accept kids that are not within a "resides" area. I also think the argument that Highlands plays up is ridiculous. I'm not sure exactly what you expect Trinity to do, as there is no larger class. We do schedule challenging OOD schedules. Yes, we didn't perform as well as we are accustomed. But I do believe that's temporary. I also believe that if Highlands continues to play Cincy X, etc, there will be years that they don't achieve as well as they would like.

 

I don't have a problem if you think your school is more deserving of the Team of the Decade. But the reasons you're giving as the basis of your determination do not necessarily make the argument a complete win for you.

Does Boyle Co. play up 2 classes?? We all Know they don't..This is what sets the Birds apart in my opinion. I do respect what Boyle has done just not as impressive as what HHS has done..:thumb:

Based on record and accomplishments? Because if you just meant head to head then know one smaller than 4A now and 3A of old class system should probably even be considered.

I am talking about which school had the best product on the field at the end of each year. I would say that for most years over the past decade, Trinity has been the best overall football team in KY at the end of the year. Obviously not this year, though.
