BCS Lineup

Featured Replies

I like the fact that TCU & Boise are matched up together. I wanted to see Cincinnati get a shot at Florida...or should I say Florida get a shot at Cincinnati? :idunno:

I don't mind the BCS at all, although I would prefer to see a better game than the GT / Iowa matchup.

I think the Boise St. / TCU game may end up being one of the best bowl games.

I'd rather see Boise and TCU play the "big dogs" not each other in a game. Boise vs Florida and Cincy vs TCU would of been better to me.
I'd rather see UC lose to Florida than beat TCU. A much better game to watch IMO. I think a Boise/TCU match up is a good one.

The BCS messed up these match-ups as well...or at least the selection committees did. TCU played Boise in a bowl last year; why not have the non-automatic qualifiers play BCS qualifiers (TCU vs. Georgia Tech in the Orange Bowl- Boise St. vs Iowa in the Fiesta Bowl)? I think that would be more interesting, but maybe that's just me.

But then you would have had two mid-majors beating up on the major's... The BCS will not have it...

I can agree with this. I like the Boise-TCU matchup because I think it will be excellent football, but having them take on BCS conference squads would be just as interesting.

As far as the other bowls go, how did Auburn get picked for the Outback Bowl? UK beat them during the season at Auburn. They have identical records at 7-5. And UK's fans travel as well as anyone's. I didn't think UK would be in the Outback, but Auburn doesn't deserve it either.

Alabama vs Texas - Title :ylsuper:

Florida vs Cincinnati - Sugar

Ohio State vs Oregon - Rose :thumb:

TCU vs Boise State - Fiesta

Georgia Tech vs Iowa - Orange :puke::confused::puke:

And don't forget the founder of Outback is a UK grad. Go figure. N'western would be a much better chance for a UK win than Clemson. IMO.

I think the Boise St/TCU game should end up being a great game to watch. But in the overall scheme of things it does nothing to legitimize any argument either team has for being in the title game. It definitely seems like an "out" for the BCS.

Here's my picks:

Alabama (in a romp)

Florida

Oregon

TCU (However, it's unfair to these two schools to match them up two straight years. BCS should have gone in a different direction in this one)

Georgia Tech ( But, there'll be better bowls to watch in the lesser bowl division)

What I heard is, Auburn ponied up the dough and bought 30,000 tickets. No one else was willing to garauntee that many tickets sold. I'm sure UK would have been a sellout, but Auburn was willing to put their money where their mouth is.

I don't know if that is accurate but I heard that from 2 different folks.

You could say the same thing about South Carolina and Kentucky.

I would have liked to see:

MNC Title-Alabama vs. Texas

Rose Bowl-Oregon vs. Ohio State

Fiesta-Boise vs. Cincinnati

Sugar-TCU vs. Florida

Orange-Georgia Tech vs. Iowa

I think we'd have been able to get a better gauge on how good TCU and Boise really are.
