I love Nick Saban but I gotta say...."Hook 'em Horns!!". I'm tired of the SEC winning it every year.

Thats alright fellows, it would be no fun out here if we all pulled for the same team. Bama won it 1993/Texas 2006. The SEC has no effect for us, we just got stuck there.

I agree. TCU would beat Texas if they played. The Horned Frogs would be a better opponent for Alabama.

I meant to say Boise State would be a better opponent.

I hope the SEC wins it every year. If UK can't win it, and they haven't since 1951 (yes, they won it that year, beating #1 Oklahoma in the Sugar Bowl), then I hope that UK's conference can win it. Same for basketball.

 

 

One thing I don't like about this BCS setup is that, other than the national championship game, the other bowl games really don't mean very much. They could be so much more important if they were incorporated into a playoff system. The ratings for the bowls would be much higher. The way it is now who cares who wins the Outback Bowl other than the fans of the teams involved. Place the Outback in a playoff concept and that immeadiately changes.

I like Bama alot better than Texas. I just get sick of the SEC winning all of the time. It would be okay if there was a tourney or a plus-1 and they kept winning. I just think they always get in the title game right or wrong. Bama deserves to play for the Championship though IMO. They are the best team in the country IMO as well.

My allegiance to Miami will not allow me to want UF to win the title. I can't cheer for Bama this year for some reason either. Just want to see another conference win one.

Texas has NO run game and you can't be one dimensional against this Bama D. As long as Bama keeps the Texas D honest with Julio and Peek catching some passes, I don't see this one being that close.

What I despise the most about this game is the fact it takes place so long after their final regular season game. I believe it has been 33 days now! How can you expect either of the teams to be sharp on offense or defense? To me these games are such a tossup for that fact alone.

All I've heard today on TV is Texas O vs. Alabama D........... Won't Alabama's O and Texas's D be playing also?????? LOL

Seriously? Bama destroyed UF's defense. UF's defense destroyed UC's offense that was suppose to be one of the best in the Nation. Just because Alabama's offense isn't a spread offense doesn't mean it isn't elite.

-Great offensive line?.....Check. Maybe the best in the country

-Good stable of RB's?.....Check. Heisman winner along with a highly touted frosh.

-Solid QB play?.......Check. Last few games McElroy has been solid.

-Good WR core?............Still questionable but who wants to defend Julio Jones?

 

IMO that's a pretty good offense.

What worries me is loke how we played against Auburn for the first 4 quarters and also the vols. It hasn't been a easy road, and to be fair the same for the Horns against the Huskers. I also have told people why do we have to wait 30 days, lets play next week and I believe we would have played real well.

 

4 hours away to kickoff. Mailman stopped me and wished us luck. I hear you on the radio a lot he told me, I thought that was so nice.
