IMO the National Championship was last night. Bama beat Florida with their hands tied behind their back and I believe that Florida is the 2nd best team in the nation. The Tide will roll Texas BIG.

Who Ya...I'd be worried about the Horns running game. Leading rusher has 500 total and our DBs/LBs are very fast and thats Coach Saban's strongest feature.

 

Not counting Tim's runs the Gators had four carries. We will bring a lot of people, players/Fans...Good Luck and look forward in chatting with some fans of the Horns.

I'm worried about every part of the game! I don't in any way think Texas will roll over Alabama. I'm don't know who will win. I do like the fact Texas has the #1 defense in the country. Texas hasn't rushed all year and haven't lost a game, they haven't played Alabama either.

Saban's defensive schemes are just rediculous. I wish he would write a book on it. I would read it 10 times.

:lol: Trying being a Duke fan on here when college basketball comes rolling around every year.

Let me add something. I like Alabama and have great respect for them I personally think Saban is the best coach in the country. I think Alabama should be #1 and I've thought that all year.

 

 

I do however think Texas can play with them and can beat them. Do I think they'd beat them 9 out of 10 time HECK no. Maybe 5 out of 10.

He has some DVD's you can buy for a reasonable price.

1. I think they're better.

2. I think they have better coaching. With a month to prepare, I'd rather have Saban on my side than Mack Brown. Especially considering that I think Alabama has the better team to boot.

3. Aside from my opinion on the coaching matchup, based on style of play I believe the time off will benefit Alabama. Typically, with the time off, you lose timing which affects the passing game more, IMO, and with McCoy that's what Texas relies on more. 'Bama can pass, but they're a more traditional running team with a great back. That doesn't mean it will have a big effect, if any, on either team, but if it doesn, I believe its more likely to be Texas than Alabama.

After watching the bowl games so far I say the BCS got it right this year............

I still wish they'd have switched up the matchups with the Sugar and Fiesta Bowls. I'd have preferred to see Florida play TCU or Boise State, while UC played the other.

 

But, there's little doubt about the title game matchup, IMO. Its not fair because everyone doesn't get an equal shot...teams like Boise, TCU and UC did everything they could do and still didn't have a chance at a title. However, even prior to the bowl results, did anyone really think any of those teams should have been picked ahead of Texas or Alabama? The top teams from the top two conferences. It is what it is.

Didn't Flordia have the #1 defense in the country untill the SEC Championship?

 

Alabama will win this game. The athletes from Alabama will be better across the board than Texas. Texas will throw often and Alabama will have the Longhorn defense on the field all night. I don't think that Texas can beat Alabama. The only way I see Alabamba getting beat is if they beat themselves. Turnovers and penalties are the Longhorn's best chances with some big special team plays (and Texas is capable of making some plays on special teams) IMO.

Alabama's offense is the key to the game IMO. If they can get TDs rather than FGs I think they will be too much for Texas. However, if they can't make the big plays I think Texas will have a real shot. I don't see Texas scoring very many points. 5 yard passes and no running game are not the way to beat a team like Alabama IMO.

Texas struggle to run the ball in one of my major concerns, I hope thier defense is good enough to keep it close.
