After watching the bowl games so far I say the BCS got it right this year............

Then they should have scheduled some tougher non confrence games. When you play in weak confrences you have to go find good teams and obtain quality wins. If you play in a tough confrence then you can soften your non confrence schedule. They have no reason to complain when you look at the total body of work. They don't deserve to play for the National Title.

I wish they would do top a 12 team tournament, 1 2 3 and 4 get a bye, just like the NFL.

No one will play Boise. They've offered to come and play anyone at THEIR PLACE with no home date in return. LSU is a strong possibility in the future I think. Outside of Oregon, no one has been willing to give Boise a chance. UF and Texas aren't going to play them, Bama would play them IMO though. People are afraid of Boise.

That is trash. I don't believe that UF, Texas, or Flordia have refused Bosie to come to their place and play with no home return. Do you have a link or is this an inside source? You think those teams are afraid to play Bosie? USC went to the Horseshoe and you think they would back away from Bosie? Bosie is looking to schedule teams like UK or Louisville so they can say they beat a top confrence team, but they don't want a confrence contender. And I know they played Oregon, but Oregon won a watered down Pac 10. Look at the Rose Bowl. When USC is down the Pac 10 is weak.

Haven't said much, nothing really to say. One day at a time. Bama has been there since Friday and have closed practices like they have had all season.

 

Donta Hightower will dress out in full pads, kids are excited that he will walk thru drills with them. Team is focused and Coach Saban actually smiled at Mickey Mouse on a visit to the Land, well maybe a grin.

 

They put down a brand new turf which will be less than a week old by thursday nite. Bama lost the last time we played at the Rose Bowl, UCLA, but our tradition is very strong in the Rose Bowl going back in the 30s/40s. We are actually 4-1-1 in the Rose, but 0-7-1 against the Horns.

 

We are concerned about Colt, a great QB who can run for a first down as well as any QB. They run everything thru him, so he needs pressure. Wd do that and it could be a low scoring game and thats how I see it. Kinda like the TCU/BSU game last nite.

 

People have teased me about calling me during the game, I say call, I just won't hear it ring, Good Luck to the Horns.

Bama is no doubt the favorite in this one it seems. Both Bama and Texas imo are very deserving and are the two that should be playing for the Championship. I believe that I picked this game before the season started to be the Championship game. I know that Bama's running game and defense are very good (especially Saban' "D"). I am goimg to stick with my pre season pick of Texas to win it all, imo thi is C. McCoy's and the Longhorns year. Texas imo should have ben there last season but as the way things fell a team they beat head to head advanced. Texas also has a very strong defense and the "D" coordiator worked with and knows Saban and his schemes as well as anyone. I look for J. Shipley to be a factor in this one for the Horns, as a reciever and on soecial teams.This one should be a classic between two very good teams that arte deserving to be there. I love watching both teams play and am not rooting for one or the other, just going to enjoy he game.

I do agree for the most part with you though :thumb:, imo no big name is jumping at the chance to play Boise, especially on the blue turf at their place. I think that it is like some of the "mid major" college b.b. teams, they can't get ranked teams to play them, especially at their place.

Your wrong. I know a coach at Boise, and they do everything they can to get big time games yet nobody will play them. The only way they could get to play VT the next two years is a neutral site and a away game. Nobody wants to play Boise because they know how it will look after they get waxed.

Think Bama will win they have best team and coach and they beat NO. 2 team in SEC chanpionship game. Bama too fast on defense for Horns too handle and too strong on offense.

UF ran from the U, and stayed away even when the U was on probation and the last few years when the U hasn't been good at all except for the game last year that was the 2nd part of a home and home that got spaced out about 5 years.

UF and Texas would be scared to play them, just look at their OOC's lately. Texas did play OSU, but outside of that they rarely leave home or have anyone good come in OOC. UF hasn't scheduled anyone (remember the state of Florida "forces" them to play FSU) since the 80s. UF is so scared of competition that they offered to play Miami once every 4 years but the game had to be neutral or in Gainesville. Yeah, they'll play someone.

CCC, Bama played a very good Clemson team last year opening game, this year Va. Tech who was ranked in the top 8. We are not crazy about opening against strong teams, we were lucky to play well the past two years. Bama also played three very weak teams and like a lot of teams who do the same.

 

We tried to get ND to play us but it fell thru, but we are gonna play Penn State the next couple of years.

 

Like I said, we would love to play BSU in the BCSCG next year, we have a lot coming back next year and they return 21 of 22 starters.

Really looking forward to this game,I think it will be close,no more then a TD.

Show me a link where Flordia or Alabama or Texas had a rep say no thanks. Other wise I could arguee that Boise is afraid to play Vanderbilt. Alot of teams have motto's but that does not mean they have went after these schools and they refused. That means they say the motto hoping Flordia, Alabama, & Texas don't take them up on it.
