I believe Highlands longest winning streak is 29 games. This was spread over 1981, 82 & 83.

 

81, 13-2 AAA State Champs lost last regular season game, won 4 playoff games en route to the 81 title.

82, first KY team to finish 15-0, 1st year USA today did National Rankings HHS finished 21st in USA and AAA State Champs. (Also beat the AAAA state champs that finished 14-1)

83, went 10-0 before losing fist game of playoffs to Conner, who went on to win their only state title under the recently deceased coaching legend, Lewis.

29 game streak.

 

2008, HHS finishes 14-1, losing to Colerain in week 2, finishing with 13 strait wins,

2009, 15-0.

2010, Start off with 28 strait wins and a chance to equal and extend the streak.

 

Current streak, 28 games.

^ This is what's expected when you are a powerhouse.....and I think it is just.....what does Highlands bring to the table in 2010? I am sure they'll be the favorite to repeat, but at what percentage is that likely?

How long until Highlands schedule is released? I'd say it'll be tough to match this years season, but then they'll do it and I'll be saying the same the first weekend of December next year.
