Rajon Rondo challenges Chris Johnson (Titans)

Featured Replies

To a $200,000 foot race....

Rondo I love you.. but your about to get delt with!

Meanwhile, Johnson also says he is ready to undertake the challenge brought forth to him by Boston Celtics guard Rajon Rondo, who said believes he can beat the Titans star in a footrace.

Word of that was relayed to him by a friend, Marquis Daniels, who is Rondo’s Celtic teammate.

“He called me and told me what Rondo was saying. So I went on Twitter and said, that’s easy money,” Johnson said. “That’s cool if he wants to lose $200,000. I had to go public with it. He must be stupid. It won’t be no close race.”

I would think the NBA and NFL would frown on this very much.

This would be awesome.

You have to be crazy to challenge Chris Johnson to a foot race... not even Ocho would do that, well wait he did race a horse...

That is ther only guy I would bet to beat him!

I think it would be interesting. We don't get to see a players true speed very often on the basketball court because of the size of the court. I've always wondered how NBA speed compares to NFL speed. I'm sure Johnson would win the race though. Not too many guys are going to outrun him.

Johnson would likely win but I think Rondo would atleast keep it close. I say they do it if they donate the money to Charity.

Johnson ran a 4.24 40 yard dash at the combine. From what I have seen projected Bolt would run a 4.19.

Bolt would lose the 40 to more than a few guys in the NFL no doubt in my mind about that. He's not a 40 yard runner he's a 100 meter runner, and his strengths aren't his start or his acceleration, it's his top gear, and nobody in the world can match it once he's there, but it takes him about 30-40 yards to reach it.

Rondo would get hosed in a match up with Johnson.......football speed is crazy!

I say put a 320lb linebacker chasing Rondo and I say Rondo wins. In an open race I don't know. I would like to see both 40s time to compare at least if this doesn't take place. Charity would be a good idea for the winnings.

Chris Johnson doesn't have to dribble, therefore CJ would roll him.

Tyson Gay. Just saying.

Hopefully for Johnson it won't be no English contest.
