Again, what schools do not ALLOW teachers to use personal days to attend the championship games?

 

Additionally, what do the assistant coaches do that work outside of the school system? Should their job give them a day off (non-sick/personal) with pay, too?

 

If they have time coming. Thing is, if I take tome off at work, I am not questioned as to why or where I'm going. Seems kind of silly that anyone has an issue with this.

I would say that is a very appropriate way to handle this.

It doesn't matter if it is high or low, if you agree to do the job, knowing the salary, then you are making what you "deserve". If you didn't feel it was worth it and not what you "deserve", then you wouldn't do it.

The point (I think) he/she was making is that you agreed to it.

 

Would you do your current profession for free?

" The Old Guy" I have a question for you. Who pays for subs when teachers miss school for professional development? I think the answer is the school system does. Coaches attending the state games go there to learn and not just to watch the games. It would be the same as a technology specialist missing school to go to a computer conference. I think you are way off base with your logic!
