Kentucky 73 Stanford 65 (OT)

Featured Replies

No, they lost to Oral Roberts, and Stanford was hot in the first half and UK withstood it. Stayed with it and won the game.

They also loss to San Diego...

Why will UK wear guards down? They pretty much only play two themselves. They really need to develop some guard depth IMO. Wall can play every minute of every game as a freshman, it will tak a toll.

Bc there aren't many guards that can keep up with Wall and Bledsoe.

I called Stanford atrocious in the prediction thread so I am thoroughly embarrassed of this outcome. I'm glad for the win, though, so that we don't have to list Stanford as one of our bad losses on our NCAA tournament resume.

Kentucky has showed this season so far that they don't quit and that they can come from behind and win the close games. If this same team had been in the same situation with Billy Gillispie as the coach they would of had 2 maybe 3 loses by now.

:laugh::laugh:

So when Cousins does something wrong should Calipari hold his hand and tell him everything will be ok?

All i am implying is he needs to maintain his composure on and off the court. After he missed the first free throw everyone in that gym knew he was going to miss the second because he just threw his arms down and lost all faith in himself. Then after Calipari took him out he threw his headband. Is that okay?

Road game, not a big deal. I am not saying Stanford is a force, but they are decent.

My thoughts exactly.

Never said that. He may get down and mad at himself, but he is used to dominating high school kids and he can't handle being on an even playing field.

No, its not OK. He just about cost us this game in my opinion. He can do so much good and negate it with his antics and bad decisions. That being said he has a world of talent and I hope he begins to understand the game from a mental standpoint.

So he should lose his cool and throw a tantrum?

Then it's time for him to "suck it up" and become a man.

Last in the Pac-10 is decent?

My fault, that it was Oral Roberts makes all the difference in the world. I checked it earlier, that's what I get for not going back.

To answer your other bullet points:

-Yes, they've beaten every other team below them that they have faced. That is not the same as what I am saying. I am saying that in general, you would expect that the teams rated below UK would beat head to head. That means if UK lined up against Duke tomorrow, you would expect UK to win. I, would not, therefore I wouldn't have UK rated ahead of Duke.

-No, I don't believe Kansas will go undefeated. Aberrations and upsets do happen. But there isn't a team right now that I would go in EXPECTING Kansas to lose to.

You honestly believe UK is the 5th best team in the country? Not 5th best because someone said they were, not 5th best because that's what they were ranked and they've won their games in front of them, do you believe that they are the 5th best team in the nation RIGHT NOW?

Last in the Pac-10 is decent?

They are not decent at all. They have 1 good player but the rest of their players are so unathletic. They got literally nothing except fouls from their frontcourt. UK should have won by 20+.
