November 23, 200916 yr Do not think he will leave Florida for Notre Dame. Too much talent in the state of Florida to leave behind. Do know he once said ND dream job but think in the real world he knows he is better off at Florida but he is named after a Pope Urban. As Gator fan sure hope he stays outstanding coach.
November 23, 200916 yr ND has way too much to give up, IMO to sign someone like Urban. It's going to be expensive no matter who you hire. 18 million to get rid of Weis, another couple million to get rid of his staff, another 4 year contract of 20+ million, new coaching staff is another 5 or so million. I know ND is loaded but I don't know if it's worth it to take a shot on anyone else besides the coaches such as Urban or Kelly. They're in the same boat as UK basketball was this spring, IMO. If they don't hit big with a coach, it could be devastating to the program.

November 23, 200916 yr Didn't he sign on for another year at MNF? He did and has become one of the best in the business... but to some Notre Dame is Notre Dame and a contract is meant to be broken! It wouldn't suprise me in the least.
November 23, 200916 yr Why would Meyer want to move from a national contender nearly every year, as well as one of the best recruiting bases in the U.S., to go to Notre Dame who's recruiting is hampered by their admission policies. I don't think he'll go anywhere. He's got it made where he's at in sunny Florida.
