Featured Replies

Thinking of going to NYC.

Any advice on what to do or see or (more importantly) to eat?

I was there and in the WTC about 2 months before they fell. When I watched them fall it really shook me up because of that. Definately ride the farry to see the statute of liberty!

WTC are is being rebuilt that is nice to see. There is a pizza joint right up the road from it called Lisa's check it out!

I've been a couple of times around Christimas for shopping. Fun to walk down Fifth avenue and window shop. Stop into the Plaza for lunch. Tavern on the Green is nice to see, but taxi's will not pick you up at the Green. You will need to walk thru the park to get a cab. If you stay close on Fifth Avenue you can walk from Central Park to Rockefeller Center. Really a fun place at Holliday time.

We love NY. Go through central park. We just love walking around and looking at everything. It is amazing there. We went to the History Museum. It was very cool. Espn Zone has really good food. This time of year is beautiful there.

IMO, the Statue of Liberty, as a tourist atrraction is very overrated.

I went last week.

Great Time.

Espn Zone was fun watching UC and West Virgina play.

Statue of Liberty is ok.

Ground zero is a construction site now. not much.

Central Park is nice.

Time square is awesome.

Empire State is nice, cloudy when we went.

Rockefeller Center is real nice.

UN building is cool.

Eat Pizza at a place called Firehouse Pizza.

It was great. So good i went back 2 days later.

Best ever. 230 east 29th st.

between 2nd and 3rd.

ESPN zone for sure.

Classic expensive tourist trap. Just my opinion but there are so many other places to go that are true to the New York experience then the ESPN Zone.

How long would you be there and where would you be staying?

May sound weird, but the first thing I tell everybody is ride the subway. That was one of the first things I did when I went to NYC, and it was a very cool experience, not to mention, the fastest way to get around town.

If you like Comedy, go to The Comic Strip Live.

Here's the website for the place. Many famous comedians got their start at this place.

This will date me.

Our 6th grade class trip was a one day trip to NYC. Activities included a downtown bus tour, walking tour of Chinatown, a ride on the Staten Island ferry and a tour of the United Nations building. Round trip train trip from Baltimore to NYC.

Total cost - $40.00 per person.

I'm getting old.

Go to Rockefeller Center, its a really awesome place.

Madison Square Garden would also be a great place to go.

I had an awesome time mainly just walking around and exploring. Ask locals the places they like to eat. Found some really cool places doing that.
