UConn 33 Notre Dame 30 OT

Depends on what opens and who comes after him. Too early to tell...

What would be really interesting is Meyer getting the ND job and then seeing if UF makes a run at BK.

Agreed...

Feel sorry for Weis but its time for a change

How many TDs did UConn have waved off on that drive late in the game?

A couple. The officiating body has already contacted UConn to let them know those 2 calls should not have been made.

Guessing Zach Frazier is smiling from ear to ear for a few days after this one.

Hats off the the UConn program for refusing to pack it in for the season when that would have been the easiest choice after what they have been through. Randy Edsall is a heck of a coach, and I'm proud of him and his program...

Classy guy, he has done a heck of a job there, and deserves more pub. I think he is a better coach than Schiano at Rutgers, and he gets a lot of pub and frankly I think they are not nearly as good as many think Rutgers is.

I can remember Edsall and company coming in to Lexington years ago when UConn was just going into D-1 and Hal Mumme thumped them like 77-0 and ran it up on them and Edsall took up for his program and Mumme told him to "not to take the check".....funny how karma works.

I would think Jeremy Foley would be all over BK if Urban goes to ND.

I am not a N.D. fan, am not a N.D. hater. I do not pull against them or for them in every game.

Having said that after watching the clip of the UConn coach's presser and the emotion of remembering their fallen teammate I am glad that UConn won this one.

I hadn't seen this. Do you have a link to the story?

What a sad ending to a very disappointing season. I did not think they would compete for a national championship but, I thought it would be better than this.

Season aien't over yet.

The UConn head coach was on Sportscenter yesterday morning explaining it. Not sure if there is a story on it.

Thanks. One of the holding calls was pretty weak, but other one, I don't see how you fault the official. He called what he felt he saw at full speed. Easy to second guess these guys when you get to watch a replay in slow motion and from several angles.

I guess I'm just not a big fan of instant reply. The officials do a pretty good job considering they have 22 players to watch. Just because a hold was called on a TD run they get singled out for a bad call, but nobody cares about the calls made correctly on some random play elsewhere on the field. Holding is a judgement call anyway, as they say you could throw a flag for it on every play if you wanted to.
