November 18, 200916 yr Collaros was cited for presenting a fake ID – a Tennessee driver’s license – as he tried to enter the Holy Grail, a Corryville bar, just after midnight May 15. He turned 21 in August. http://news.cincinnati.com/article/20091118/NEWS0107/311180016/UC+QB+Collaros+ordered+to+court
November 18, 200916 yr It shouldn't be a big deal, as long as Collaros cooperates; however, he already failed to do that once. The diversion program would have been the best route, but for some reason he didn't go that way. Big time mistake on his part. This should all be straigthened out if he's honest with the Judge. What I found interesting were the comments regarding Brian Kelly's take on the situation: A UC sports spokesman said head coach Brian Kelly was made aware of the issue in May, dealt with it immediately and considers the issue closed. Collaros didn’t return calls Wednesday. BK may consider the issue "closed", but I can guarantee you that the courts do not feel the same way.
November 19, 200916 yr If I'm BK I'm only upset about his immaturity when it came to dealing with the diversion program. The fake ID wouldn't bother me. He'd just run his rump off for getting caught.

November 19, 200916 yr Why would these kids with full rides screw around like this? Why chance losing it? Geez, I'm working my butt off to cut a check each semester and I'd do anything to be in his situation.
November 19, 200916 yr Why would these kids with full rides screw around like this? Why chance losing it? . The obvious answer is highlighted.
November 19, 200916 yr The obvious answer is highlighted. I'm still a kid (20) and have never owned or thought about having a fake I.D. Why put yourself in such situations? So, the obvious answer was not highlighted. Being a kid is no excuse to be in trouble with the law. You obviously don't agree with that so we'll have to agree to disagree on this one.:thumb:
November 19, 200916 yr I've heard Gillyard has dodged the bullet on a few things as well. Come on Cats keep it together too much of a good thing going on down there.

The fake ID isn't much of an issue with me either. Not complying with the diversion program / court is a big deal, though.

November 19, 200916 yr I feel like everyone has a fake ID these days. :idunno: Do you all realize how many careers you are automatically kept out of if charged with possessing a fake ID? If you are under age or have children underage, do some research and stress how BIG of a deal this can be. What seem like "small childish" mistakes can really come back to haunt you when and if you ever "grow up". And no, i'm not playing holier than thou...I had one in college, but after I grew up and saw what happened to others it made me wish I had never taken that chance.
November 19, 200916 yr I heard he used to be a salesman if you know what I mean. Was Liggins a customer. :sssh:
November 19, 200916 yr I heard he used to be a salesman if you know what I mean. Absolutely one of the most irresponsible post that I've seen on BGP. Troubling that you would assert such an inference based on hearsay.
