November 19, 200916 yr Absolutely one of the most irresponsible post that I've seen on BGP. Troubling that you would assert such an inference based on hearsay. I see you are new here...get used to it. I've found you just need a "source" and you can post it. Not right, but it is what it is.
November 19, 200916 yr Do you all realize how many careers you are automatically kept out of if charged with possessing a fake ID? If you are under age or have children underage, do some research and stress how BIG of a deal this can be. What seem like "small childish" mistakes can really come back to haunt you when and if you ever "grow up". And no, i'm not playing holier than thou...I had one in college, but after I grew up and saw what happened to others it made me wish I had never taken that chance. Which careers will automatically disqualify you from consideration for being caught with a fake ID?

November 19, 200916 yr I'm still a kid (20) and have never owned or thought about having a fake I.D. Why put yourself in such situations? So, the obvious answer was not highlighted. Being a kid is no excuse to be in trouble with the law. You obviously don't agree with that so we'll have to agree to disagree on this one.:thumb: As CC said, you are in the minority. He's a kid who wanted to go the big boys' bar. Many of us have done or comtemplated that.
November 19, 200916 yr I had a fake ID, looking back, might not have been so bright, but luckily I never got caught
November 19, 200916 yr http://news.cincinnati.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/AB/20091119/NEWS0107/311190010/ Sounds like it went about as I had expected. Collaros made a mistake and admitted it. The judge has no reason to make an example out of this kid, nor should he. He'll do his community service and thankfully, this won't be an issue.
November 19, 200916 yr I'd say about 95% of people who get caught with fake ID's just get them taken away.
November 19, 200916 yr I'd say about 95% of people who get caught with fake ID's just get them taken away. It depends on who catches you. If it's the bouncer, then yes. If it's the ABC, then no. FWIW, I had a fake ID taken away outside of a bar by a police officer. He didn't know if it was me or not, but he tricked me after about 2 minutes of questioning. I was not cited or fined. A year or so later, I was actually cited inside of an over 21 establishment for the fake ID. I was cited just under $200 and did 20 hours of community service as a member of the diversion program. This is similar to what Collaros must do.
